cam- i shall
i went on a painting spree today and the pencils is alien for school i copied some art for alien. So the ideas not mine.
Hey james! You are getting way better! Done a lot of studies and it shows tremendously! You seem to have the same problem I do and that is proportions. I can't offer any advice on it because I'm still struggling with it. Keep up the good work!
You could use work on proportions, but don't sweat it too much, the best way to get better is to keep working at this furious pace you've got going. Pick something you want to get better at, like proportions or color or whatever, and concentrate on making that one thing awesome for the piece you're doing. Make the rest of the piece as good as you can, but really concentrate in that one area. I think that will be the quickest way for you to get better.
blue severin-yeh i know .. thanks for the advice really helpful
fishspawn-thanks. didnt notice that
soo......... um study of dali's autumnal cannabslism and some random poop
sweet tank man. Like the alien thing too. Try spending a lot of time on one piece, incoporate everything you've learned with the milions of sketches. That'll give everyone an idea of where you're at, and we can give you better crits and such.
blueseverin-thanks .will do
um just got a book of bridgman ..yay so some studies from that ,very quick with a pen andaome hogarth and a digi that im going to spend more time on ..
oh snap man, seeing lots of hard work-
love that one. Thats oils right? Do more of it, shows a lot of potential.
Work on line quality, smooth clean lines.
When rendering, dont go crazy and put the lines where you want em. Think of it as a 3d object and shape it.
Heard of steak-tron?
Check out his stuff, it was a revelation to me on how to shade properly.
Keep it up mate
Hi there. Bridgman rocks. Your studies are looking good, just listen to fishspawn advice on wonky proportions. Me likes specially those unfinished hands from your last batch. Oh, and the tank from post 164 is great.
fishspawn-thanks, i will do thaT
blanq-thanks , i will go look at his tuff now ,yeh its oils.
fedezz-thanks , i will
well umm finished the digi and some pecils and got some new brush pens they are fun
Awesome progress! With your digi, i love the robot, but i can't tell what that is he's hitting (resting his arm on?) so you may want to define that a little more. The pencils and heli are looking great. With the climbing/repelling robot dude, watch the hands/feet size and he either has too thick of a torso or no butt. Keep up the great work!
fishspawn-thanks , the guy is suposed to be holiding a gun but im going to leave that and the absailer was just a quick sketch to get familiar with the brushpens .. but i supose its no excuse
weell i did another digi and some pencils which i took longer on ( tigers is dali)
Hey james. I actually really like the digi in the post before this one, i think it has promise. Your current one has too much texture. I know you probably just whipped it out quick, just saying something about it.
Pencils are lookin better. We haven't seen anything from life from you in a while, get to it!
fishspawn-thanks , i totally agree, try do some studies from life
some pencils of a mask and some evil babies and some anatomy
That digitized baby is evil!! Totally diggin what you did with him.
Osama's looking good From these last pencils I can tell that your hatching improved a lot. Less random and rushed, and it follows the direction of the form. Specially noticeable on the robot dude.
Keep it up!
