hey if your use'n ps it might help to run a sharpen filter on it just make a copy of it in a new layer and erase everything in the background starting right after the first guy in the fore ground i learned this from kidult an kellyx cause its on a new layer you can experament an it doesn't take any time any way good show'

Hey man, looks pretty good. Some crits though. If you're going to use ellipses in perspective, they have to be perfect or the whole piece will look jacked. An easy way to do this is to sketchup your cylindrical towers with the same horizon line and distance yourself accordingly. Speaking of horizon lines, it looks a bit low in this one on the right. The ocean is the only thing that actually lies on the horizon line, and it looks messed up as if it's dropping off the end of the earth. ground always has some rise in it/ mountains/ trees in the background, heh TMI I know. Photo reference to see what rock cliffs and different textures look like, then try to recreate them using custom brushes, just using the hard round and airbrush is pretty limiting. The whole thing kind of has a smooshy fuzzy feeling. Make edges and cornere super crisp with a 100 percent opacity chisel brush (sharp corners). The yellow in the field is pretty saturated and pops it forward, flattening the image, and the atmospheric perspective (less contrast as it recedes) is a bit extreme for a sunny day. Photo ref is your friend, and I bet there are plenty with towers at different distances in this lighting. The trick is to see how subtle you can make the atmospheric effects and have them still work. There still needs to be slightly less contrast with every layer back, but much less of a change each time, so that the stuff in the background doesn't look quite so hazy. Structure on the stairs is weird, not sure how they start where they do and still wrap around the tower. The design ideas are pretty cool. It's definitely a sweet setting and I like the feeling from it, just some technical stuff to take into account.

Sorry for the lack of posting for a long time. I went to GDC and then i had to spend a lot of time catching up after missing a week of school. Anyway, here are some costume figures and an environment collab with this guy.

Here is the final project for environment class. Like last semester, it was a group project (although my group dwindled to just one other person). Basically it's sci-fi Gladiator. Looking forward to all of your feedback~ Enjoy!

Looking good mate! Havent looked in here in agessss! You have made some steady progress. Some of your digital paintings could do with more contrasts though, just a few of them are a bit washed out and could do with these contrasts to focus the attention to some points. Looking good though matey

Bendragon - thanks, glad you stopped by again ^_^

Sooo took a long summer break to catch up on some video games, now its time for art 24/7 again, woo! Starting to learn zbrush, here is my first expiriment~ Also some 3-5 min poses done in painter focusing on dynamic angles and action.

Gestures and watercolors! The watercolors are either still life or master copies - the last two pages are landscape studies from life. The gestures are all 30 sec - 5 min.

Blue Severin - thanks man! will do~

Here's my first full figure sculpt in zbrush. Started with Zspheres, messed with it in max and then sculpted away. 4-5 hours total. I'm planning to go in and texture it up all pretty. Fun stuff.
