Bloody hell this thread is funny! I had a go at making my own gif, I took the same time as chasethehedgehog to create this masterpiece - I think it puts me within the top 10% here at CA.

There should be a category in the smilies section for this, as each has a history of and differing reason for making worst of CA.

Insect battle for proving the triumph of technology over traditional skill
Chase the hedgehog for his unwavering confidence in his work
Snapesnogger for her extensive work in the oft neglected subject area of pregnant snake men.

Who made the insect battle emoticons BTW?

Nice pixel work. Why are they separate and not locked in an eternal battle of good vs evil?

I heard you can put them next to each other and make it look like an eternal battle between good and evil. I guess it is something like this (note the extra lenseflare to show the intensity of the the fight)

After reading the thread and the linked threads, it truly amazes me how arrogant some people can be over here. People not wanting to learn? People thinking they are the best at what they do while their stuff looks like an ape just threw some shit at a canvas and called it 'art'? Wow.

I myself have NEVER given myself the title 'artist'. Compared to what some professionals do here, I pretty much...well...suck. But that is okay, I am a slow learner and this place has been a great inspiration to keep going, to grow better over the years. Also the 5 gig + of artwork and reference images I cultivated from this place proved a worthy teacher.

Enough with the sappy wheeping violins!

Some threads just were too funny to read! All hail that wasp and scorpion!

OMG the chase article is LIFE Who's the genius who came up with that? Props to you.

Damn, I was pissing myself laughing at Chase's thread though. A few that... tickled me were

The turd they are floating on creates the bond they share

Is link going in, or is he coming out

I'm studying the pelvis... My sense of humor has been gone for at least 2 hours... (not particularly chase related but heck )

rude fucking little CLOWN-PACKING GOBLIN I've ever, EVER met. (that quotes worth a freakin award)

    ....PWNED?

    People With Nervous Eating Disorders?

    the fact that he's SIXTEEN

and of course i know that but I HAVE so many pageviews cuz im a good artist
SNAP. I'm still smirking. Anyone know what happened to the lil old talented goblin?

hehe yeah I saw that. Also edited to make sure 'clown packing goblin' had a source. Clown-packer is my friend's saying btw, just so it's clear where that came from

this chasethehedgehog dude is classic i found this set of comments on his deviantart..

    ~sonicgirl21 Jul 22, 2007, 6:49:26 PM
Alright, so you poked a hole in your ego and let some air out. BUT, it's still bigger than the Liberty Bell.

I seriously think no one will ask for a commision. IMO, you're not ready for that kind of pressure. It's for the big leagues, and frankly, you're FAR from that.

Like the above poster said, there ARE fantastic artists out there that don't do Sonic artwork, ie. Bleedman. Yes, the Sonic community is large, but there are other forms of artwork.

Oh, and to wrap this up, you did say you were in the " Top ten percent of dA ". Deal with it. </3

as you can see she is being...considerably NICE compared to his usual comments this is is mature thought provoking reply..

    ~chasethehedgehog Jul 22, 2007, 6:59:43 PM
"its for the big leages" what are you talking about?? I have over 100000 pageviews.. i AM the big leages here.

and I know there are some good non-sonic artists here but I just think the sonic art here is some of the best artwork Ive seen.

and I know I said I was in the top ten percent and that was probably pushing it but thats my honest thoughts and doesnt mean Im cocky or the best here. Get over it and stop posting on my page if you disagre with me and just practice your own art..

"im in the top ten percent just cs i said that doesnt mean im cocky, if you dont agree go away"

wow....i wonder where he gets his maturity and tolerance?

the idea that "im the best at what i do, the best at everything if you dont agree piss off!" realy appeals to me

My God, how is it possible to be so damn ignorant. Part of me tells my brain it's fake and he's just doing it on purpose the other part of me wants to smash his face into jelly.

Let me know if anyone got that reference.

Really though, some kids lag wayyyyy behind in maturity for one reason or another. Also, I remember making bad mspaint art when I was 14 or so. The difference was I didn't think I was hot shit because of it.

This always surprises me when I see it.... Sometimes I see people start incredibly infantile drama or do immature stuff on DA or any other site with a journal associated....

I kind of assume that they're in middle or elementary school or something.... but then I find out that they're in their 20-30's...
