Haven't had time to scan in most of my practice sketches between work. All I had to update now is sketch I've been working on.

trying to get it blended properly and such. still a WIP.

this is the reference pose i used.

nice update. i like that character and i can see you enjoy drawing that one too. the colors look nice, but i think there is something wrong with her right arm. looks a bit weird. maybe her forearm should be a little thicker compared to her upper arm. Cool pose though.

Bah more WIP. I really need some critiques/techniques help/ something to help me paint better. I've been layering my bases/shadows/highlights but it's still coming out very muddy and smugy.

Any help with that would be most appreciated. Right now I'm using a meddly of photoshop and painter 7

Good work there. You've talent for expression in your characters, and your way of using colours is very inspiring, for one as afraid of colours as me. Nice all over.

Maybe a couple male life studies? That aside your entire sketchbook is inspiring! Love your style too. It's always interesting to see drawings by people who have been... shall I say, under the influence of manga. Try to gauge the degree. But then again, that goes for about any style.

The characters seem fine in the last one, although perhaps you'd like to include some transparent top layer and experiment with more vivid colours...

side note: I read the entry about the kid, Robert. Can't help but symphatize.
Then again, it is not always the case. But whenever the situation arsises it can be disconcerting.

Big dump of artwork today. I've been sketching alot, but haven't really posted much because I've been feeling down about my artwork.

I don't see much improvement and it's frustrating, but I'm going to keep plugging along.

Also included some new cg renders I've been working on... yay.

Very nice stuff here lately! Been improving alot since last i checked!
Really great character concepts! I think you should work more on your skintones, do studies from life or from refference, will give alot!

It's hard to keep sketching when you don't feel like you are improving. Take a break from the characters and do some studies for a bit. When you come back to drawing your usual stuff yo will see an improvement. That last sketch is nice, but the chair looks really weird. Did you draw the character before you drew the chair? The way it's tilted she would just slide right off in real life.

Definitely improvement from page 1 to now. One thing I noticed though is that some of your male heads have a really strange, sharp jawline in 3/4ths view. Maybe do some face studies, that never hurts

    Keep it up!

Looking forward to following your work! Lots of life in these and I love your use of colour. Looks like I could learn a thing or two here. I'm studying animation too
