I havent seen your first page for a while, however, those sketches are all early wips so my suggestion is to spend some more time on some of em and refine em alittle good job otherwise!

Nice, the last Native american drawing, well done.
Not sure about the digi stuff for now, you might want to work on that some more, they seem to be exceedingly fast.

    Anyway, keep at it.

    Dude!

That "rolling" pic looks fantastic - reminds me of the way Bjorn Hurri handles these types of sketches. Looks fantastic, and this last one is looking reall good too. Just clean up the edges some!

    really good looking stuff mate!
    ciao!

do a paintover and show me the body underneath his armor
    http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...9&postcount=67

you need to start to think about underlying (?) structure of things and not just "cool" shapes.

aswell for the poses, you have alot of motion and energy but there is no real skeleton in the people. hmm, best way to say it (or what i could come up with) "how to make something stiff bend" haha, a bone can't bend but there is dancers that sure make it look like it. Don't reallty know what i want to say with this but it feels like it's lacking.

to sum it up.... exagurate everything (if needed)within the boundries of "reality" (monsters need "reality" too) or FUNCTION is the best word i guess.

cheers dude and sorry for the rant haha

SOFA has inspired me to start Master Copies, so here is the first one, Rembrandt- Self Portrait with Beret (right?)

Rembrandt has been one of my favorite Masters since I started working hard on my art, so I guess I should start with him. This first one is digital, i also started one with acrylics, that will most likely take alot more time, plus ill have to find a way to get a good pic of it, ill figure that out when the time comes, anyways here is a WIP of the mastercopy, no crits needed for these until im almost done, for the most part, im going to try to teach myself, and crit my own work with the utmost cruelty.... lol well heres the first 1 very early stage----

WIP #2 ALREADY w00t, im not gonna give up... if i do kick my ass, please

WIP#3 last update for the night, its a small one but hey.... ill work more tomorrow! w00t

    yeah, what he said.
it's all about the gesture, the skeleton. you can fake the rest, but if the pose is off, its all off.

Man, you've got some great stuff in here but I can't help but feel that you're shortchanging yourself by leaving them all unfinished!

I don't know if you're just aiming for that style, but I wish there was more detail in your digital stuff.

hurri: i def am tryin to keep that in mind, u are right about my structure, and i gave up on that last one, not because u made me lose hope, just because it was off since the sketch, i just need to do more figure drawing from ref and learning of structure before i can achieve the right poses without them looking off.... anyhoo if ur ever online and u feel like hostin an oc, id love to do that again now that i have the energy
