It's been a while since I addressed concept art for the bad guys in "Legendary Sisters of the Laughing Doggebi". So here's Mr. Han aka The Boss.

More 40K RPG Character Work. This one for one of the players at my table who asked me to do the character they play at another GM's table.

Thanks Plissk. Sometimes I wonder if anyone is even watching. Glad that you remind me from time to time that I'm not just wasting time posting here.

And here's an Adeptus Mechanicus concept for the 40K Universe.

This is the type of thing I'd say qualifies as "It's Finally Finished" if only because it represents the first time a client has paid me to do sequential work. That being said I'm my own worst critic and posting it in the It's Finally Finished section is too intimidating.

The following 5 entries are pages from a short comic commissioned by the author of a comicbook anthology he's using to showcase his writing.

Each page was a learning experience even if the majority of those lessons were how not to work. I really felt out my short comings and know what I need to focus on going forward... where my weakest links are...

My biggest enemy against me in my quest for becoming a full time comicker is my inability to complete. I get so mired in the weeds redrawing and redrawing because it's not perfect enough for my tastes. But having a pre-paid client to work for really forced me to work through that... and instead focus on how to draw quality work fast enough to meet deadlines instead.

Balancing comics with my full time job is a little tricky. Hopefully I'll one day be able to pay the bills without writing code and I'll have more time to focus on finer quality artwork.

Getting to page 5 was such a rewarding experience for me. It marked the first time I finished an entire sequential project and on top of it got paid to boot.

awesome work man, especially like 'Dal Nim's first sword' so simple yet so sick.

    Finally Back to Posting!

    NyeAlexandaFrayne, DanielK, thanks.

Sorry for not relying sooner. But the site was in this weird transition for a long time and I got out of the habit of posting while it was in flux.

This Death Knight was a commission from a WOW fan.

Oh. Looks like the uploader is allowing us to inline our images now! That's great news. I can start grouping my uploads again.

This I did for a friend of mine who used to run me through D&D when I was in Jr. High. While this group never existed together in game, I did at one time play all of these characters.

    Bae DooNa... Sort of.

All the recent trailers for Cloud Atlas got me in the mood to try and draw Bae DooNa. Her nose was just too interesting for me to ignore.

It didn't really look like her in the end. I'm not exactly a good portraitier. So I ended up calling this one "Girl in the Rain".

    Someone Elses Sisters

If you've been following my SB for any time now, you know that I'm launching a web comic called The Legendary Sisters of the Laughing Doggebi. But I also read web-comics and I highly recommend you check out David Pauwel and Nicolas Giacondino's masterpiece Free Mars.

This portrait of the Sisters Grimm I did to encourage them through their recent (successful) Kickstarter campaign.

    Promo Cards

I recently finished a Solutions Architect position at the YMCA of the USA. I had a wonderful time working there and I was fond enough of my coworkers that I wanted to give them something to show that appreciation. The shameless-self-promoter in me saw the chance to kill two birds with one stone and the following series of promotional cards were developed.

If you're so inclined to follow the adventures of these bad-ass ladies The Legendary Sisters of the Laughing Doggebi launches on 12/31.
