I love the Monkey man race so far. This last rendering you're doing is beautiful.

But you can't go saying things like this -

real nice man. i agree with carnifex... sharpen the face a bit... but i'm sure you'll do that when you make the final rendering.

i think i may have popped the face out more on this now. wow, it helps to make a tutorial from time to time, cuz then you follow your own advice more!

anyway, yes i know there are things that need to be worked out on this piece, but i dont think i will mess with it anymore, because again, it is just a sketch!! im working on the actual piece that includes both male and female monkies right now. back to work!

Goddamn, Marco. I'll admit, I thought the work you were churning out in Montreal was top notch. But you're really going for your dreams, man. Your improvement in the last month is absolutely phenominal.

The best part, I think, is your attitude. "Alright, fuck it, I want to be an amazing artist, so I'm starting now." So simple. Kudos to you, you crazy man. I'm sure you'll have job offers knocking at your door in no time.

while i do not like the monkey man, i think your final version of it is astonishing considering the doubts you had at the beginning. the colors are amazing! i wish you would stop saying you suck at color, because you keep turning out these beautiful pieces with wonderful color... you're such an ass. i wish i had the nerve to say "i suck at color" about some of my paintings.

regarding your warmup drawing: why do your characters always start out with sooooo much muscle definition? is that some kind of self-image you'd like to achieve some day? what's goin' on with that?

well forkie, this was a drawing from a human anatomy book, so it was already hypermuscular. i was just studying it. and yea, i know...im gona have to stop doing so much muscle. i think at this stage tho, its mostly for undrstanding
