    Most Unfortunate Lady

there is nothing worst in this world, then for a mother to loose her child.
yet worst is for a mother to have a kid that wants to die.
but tragic has no end - since worst that this is for a mother to have such a child, that she begins to ask the Lord to take him away.
    these are terrible times...
    French Revolution Period
She used to be a noble.
    Now... concept!

EXcuse me for saying this, but that's a mighty tough one. On another note: watching Marie-Antoinette might be good inspiration, at least fashion-wise.

So, did I understand this correctly: During or directly after the French Revolution, a formerly nobel lady is in grief over her son who has committed suicide? Man, that's loaded, but certainly tragic!

No no no, the kid ain't dead yet, he just wants to die. Think i may have a nice idea, but i'm not sure if it's right before heads started to roll or after. Or is that up to the participant.

Yeah, costumes.org is pretty good about most periods. What I don't like about them is a lot of times they fail to cover all different classes for each period. There is a shortage of images of the period costume of an average joe or even a poor peasant for this particular era. Anyway, glad you posted that, Oblio.

Just curious "she used to be a noble" what is she now? Would she still be wearing fancy clothes or would she look more like a peasant?

here is what i have so far...sketched this during work so it's a little iffy ^^

i'll be adding more embellishments to her clothing to make it look more fancy and raggedy...basically an ex-noblewoman sitting on the streets fingering her pearls and smoking one of those long opium pipes...below her will be her kid looking off into the distance. i might change her expression to be more nervous and wild. the whole scene will be hot and miserable and dirty. and thennnnnnnn i'll color it ^^ if i just finish the sketch i'll be happy.
