Having a magnet implanted in your finger lets you feel electromagnetic fields. Wild stuff.

It says that you can, and that it won't erase credit cards. I'd have to see that part to believe it though. Note that the picture of the guys finger with the dark mark on it was because the coating around the magnet broke down. I'm assuming (hoping) it would be invisible when properly inserted.

Of course, you could never get an MRI if you had one... still very cool.

wow, sounds cool Im just worried about ereasing data, and such when
I come in touch with it, since my motherboard broke down just because I used an magnetic screwdriver

People with magnetic implants can't erase hard drives or credit cards
If so it is, then COOL!

ok..

Endnote

These are dangerous unpredictable experiments, and anyone who takes part does so at thier own risk. I get a lot of people trying to get these implants from me, please don’t bother, I make novel experiments for myself and close friends. Selling you implants would imply some enormous responsibilities on my part, and I’m just not interested in that.

sorry guys...

..and what if you finally got the thing installed into your genitals and you forget to mention that before an EEG ? *shudders*

But im really wondering how the different placement would affect the "feeling"...

Err, I don't think anything would happen. I'm pretty sure you mean an MRI. EEGs measure brain waves, and AFAIK don't involve magnets.

Magnetic implants have been around for a bit: (Warning: these links have graphic content)
    BME entry

    Shannon gets magnetic implants

However, they can also go wrong: (graphic content again)
Shannon's implant had to be removed

Jesse Jarrell makes interesting stuff, you can see more here:

EDIT: about genital magnetic implants, I think this is something that had been discussed but I haven't seen any knews about it. Magnetic implants present quite a high risk though, like Shannon illustrates in his article.
