    The Greater Lightsail

Completed no, thanks to everyone who gave me crits and advice!

Photoshop colour managment is still giving me grief, so its a little dark, a situation I am still trying to rectify.

    In any case, Enjoy!

pretty cool, but too weird for my tastes.

I need to at least see something like soldiers running around shooting at them to get a sense of scale and relation.

Looks pretty cool but i think you should add more detail to make it stick out alot more from the scene. I dont get were those highlights are coming from on the green portions of the tunnel section when the light is coming from the outdoors. I would say make them less white and more green. And maybe make the back portion a lil desaturated to give a lil more depth (fog). With your permission could i do a quick overpaint to show you what could fix the peice?

Wow. This is getting close to Barlowe level wierdness.
I love this kind of stuff. The more unlike Earth it is the better for this type work. The environment is often overlooked when people are designing alien lifeforms. This one works well and the creatures look like they belong. The bioluminescence is really cool in this one too. My only crit would be to lighten the image just a bit. I understand it's supposed to be in shadow/night, but it just seems like details are being lost. Does anyone else think so?
Other than that, a really cool painting.

Its partly because photoshop's color managment was giving me a hard time , but I have a lighter version here if you like: http://www.alexries.com/Gallerypages/gal-lightsail.htm
