    ashley wood fans -artist knowledge-

hi,i like to explore more artists like ashley wood!!

to give u a hint i will say some other artits approximatly in this style that i know;(i dont want to catagorize them in a "style" but its the only way to tell u what i need)
hmm first of all, David Mack, Christopher Shy and Jon Foster.then Dave Mckean and Tim Bradstreet..thats enough for now.
so as you can see most of them are illustrators and cover artists.
I want to explore more artists in this "style" (?!??).
So u can type your favorite artits here (but really good ones ),so we can explore more.It doesnt have to be a comic book artist.maybe a painter or graphic designer or something else work too.Im really new here, and i see there are many great artists in here,i will be glad that you suggest me some.

btw, i (kindly) DEMAND that u type artists like these. (maybe most of you may type immediatly brillant illustrators like gerald brom, beksinski etc..,please dont 8) )
so :" the more unheard ones ,the more satisfactory"

    thanks you a lot
i will be glad if u suggest me some

Talk of Ashley Wood, he's been editing a picture-only magazine called Swallow (two issues now) with a bunch of very cool and talented artists. Second one out's got a LOT of Bengal stuff and there's some James Jean too and other people i didn't know about and am now happy to know about. If you go to Woods' site he talks about that project so be sure to check it out. Not a very cheap book, but it's definitely worth it.

Yep, there's definitely a lot of Schiele on his lines and anatomy stylization. I've also read somehwere that Jorge Zaffino was a great influence to him. Zaffino is a rather unknown argentinian comic book artist, who sadly passed away a couple of years ago at a very young age. You might want to check some of his work here.
