hey, looks real good, so far,

    some things though

the sills of your guys are all different scales and the perspective on the tower in the last drawing is still a little off.

I like the detail work as I always do with your stuff

small update, replies comin soon. Heres somethin i just whipped up over at the conceptart.org sketcher chat program thingy:
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

DonCoyote - thanks alot. The best way in my opinion to practice environments is to practice from pictures. Then once your comfortable enough and know a little about environments, start drawing from imagination.

Fishspawn - Thanks for stopping by. Yeah, u should come by more often, i like comments

Efei - Thanks. Yeah the speedpaints are a lot of fun, i wish i had time to do more of them.

Minjarr - I took your advice and shrunk the windows and played with the scale a little bit. I didn't update the picture on this thread, but my print copy got updated. thanks for pointing that out, i didn't notice at first.

Dchan - Thanks for stopping by, glad to hear u like them.

And finally another update. I was at the game developers conference all last week and was preparing my portfolio the week before that. These images are for a card game i'm making for a psychology class project. Some of the images are reused, some are new:
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

    Yo Zealot!

Big thanks for stopping by my book again man.
And yeah, I'm a huge fan of NIN, found the beautiful liar image in their Reptile song very powerful, relates so much with visual art.
Also cast the vote for NIN in your pole, very interesting pole, thanks for posting it.

You have some awesome work here mate, very interesting to see the thumbs develop into full rendered enviros -
you seem to have a very solid process.
Last bunch of images are great as well -
think it fits awesomely into the psychology canon, definitely want to see more of them.

    awesome book man, keep sharing

    ciao!

Another update. I've been using the copic pens lately, i really like them for thumbnailing. Heres what i've got:
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

Another update. Just letting myself be inspired by Android's work:
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

Brendan N - Thanks. Yeah, thumbnails can be a lot of fun, it really focuses on the big shapes and design of things rather than rendering.

Fishspawn - yeah, there probably is some contrast issues, they were done pretty quick but i'll try to pay a little more attention to that in the future. thx for stopping by.

    - thanks for all the love. Yeah, definately come back, i like comments.

I was playing around with painter today, here's what i got. It started with a pencil sketch, its mostly digital watercolor and the glow brush. I used the photoshop airbrush for some of the value refining because i havent found anything in painter that comes close to the photoshop airbrush tool. Anyway, heres me playin around:
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

Jens - thanks. i'm glad to hear u like them.
    TroyWilkerson - thanks, and thanks.

And another update, another piece i did in the sketcher chat thing. I know...i always do faces, but drawing the surreal looking faces is kind of like my zen. some thing that i do when i just want to chill out and not do school related stuff. Here it is:
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
