ey guys, i need a lil help. i want my pieces to look more polished, which may mean getting away from my beloved use of lines.....but without my lines, i cant decide what to do!! i dunno. maybe i just NEED line. but, anyway, gimme some help.
The first one is worlds better, and is quite a nice start. The lines are very "I'm not sure where the right line should go, so I'll toss down a score in hopes that one of them is correct". There's sketchy, then there's scribbly.
Her far cheek might be a little puffy, but I like where this is going.
I like the second one a ton more. But I like lineart and such.
I'm sort of a lineart kinda guy, and even I'm saying the first one is better. Just keep in mind that your colors eventually make up waht appear to be lines without actually having them, and you should be OK.
I really like the way the first one is turning out. No wait, I said that already...
the 2nd one gives so much more contrast but the first one looks better cant say more than that sorry
Hey Marco, nice pieces. If you're having trouble going from line work to pure paint work, maybe you should try something in between. Check out some artists like Katsuya Terada or Hiroshi Kaieda or Ropie . You might enjoy their work. They use lin their work, but at the same time they use some nice paint techniques.
