    ImagineFX?

Did anyone else get an invitation/request for work for ImagineFX magazine? Is it a mass-mailing or have they confused me with someone worthy?

Denart got one too... probably not mass mailing, but a little that way, maybe?

BTW, does anyone have the 3rd issue of ImagineFX and is willing to let it go? I want to buy it but can't find any place that sells back issues.

I have that same problem. The largest bookstore in my city sold the first ussie. But I have'nt seen any others since. And I've been checking almost daily. I think I was the only one that bought it there or something. Looks like the type of thing I'll actually have to subscribe to.

Snarf, if it's the same mail that denart got, i'd suggest mailing one of the imaginefx boys (both you & denart), just to make sure there's a connection, on first glance, it might be someone associating with them to legitimise their post, if they (the future fellas) say it's legit, then i'd go for it
Aerythes, give +44 (0) 870 444 8455 a ring, should only cost an extra quid over cover price for a back issue (or mail imaginefx@subscription.co.uk, if you state you only want the one issue you should hit lucky)

How do you get this in the Americas besides ordering off the website and paying ridiculuous overcharge for shipping?

Borders stocks it, and amazon sells a 1/yr sub @ $123.76 ($9.52 an issue)

Loren, go to Chapters, they carry it, and check independant mag shops, if you still can't find it, I'll pick one up for you and give you it in Montreal.

I got one from Mark Penfold of ImagineFX, well, he's a journalist who also writes for Computer Arts and Future Publishing in general.

I've already sent off some pics as lossless jpegs. In hindsight not my best but there's at least variety.

    [EDIT] letter removed

p.s. i'm not sure mark would be very appreciative of you broadcasting his letter and telephone numbers to the whole world.

fixed. I was kinda presumptive that his contact info would have already been online and didn't put much thought into redacting it, and whilst it is, that was a bit thoughtless of me, so sorry

Ha! I'm sure Mark would love the world phoning him. Put it back up!
Just kidding - thanks for removing it.

Mark is working hard for IFX assembling our galleries and generally managing that section of the mag. We're actually getting more than we need (as it should be) from people sending in work (obviously we had to hunt around for the first few issues as we weren't in any way known) but we still want submissions from forums like this - you guys rock!

Anyhow, I'll post Mark's email here - feel free to send him your gallery submissions, he'll be pleased to hear from you. Please state whether you're a pro or amateur when you email him. Copy me in if you like.

Gezstar, I desperately hope you and Rob can come to an agreement. The manga sections were the only one's I wasn't thoroughly delighted with. And you, my good man, are a natural, overflowing source.

Rob: cheers, sir, on a superb publication.
