    Mix - small update

A mix of some recent sillyness. Thought i would sneak it in here too.
The female is close to original size btw. Nothing really fancy, but C&C are highly welcome!

good good always great to see a thread from you man. My fav is the bottom right corner. It really looks like the extra heads are sides of his consiousness. Dunno if that was the aim, but its defo what I'm seeing.

And man, I need to see a battle scene from ya, with all these kind of characters in there

You know, Simon, when people starting to write to you about your style and when they even find definite words to describe what style it is, I think it is a sign to try something an opposite. Art needs to create fire in people hearts, not to be recognisable. I think it is great to be always two steps ahead of your viewer, surprise him with your new side. I just read in one thread awesome thought from one of my favorite artist on this forum, van. It goes like this: No one can teach you how to open yourself in art, not a college, not any school, not another artist... You need to remove your guards and be brave. And no, I'm not saying you are closed in your art, not at all. I don't think this at all. Just sharing the interesting thought about what the attraction in art. The other person inner world.
Saying this I know that you are experimenting with colors. Looks like searching for new effects. But not new themes.
My favorite the one in strict costume, before speech time period, hehehe.
    All the best to you.

fredram - thanks, man. Glad you like it!
    Norwar - thanks alot, man!
sve - good points there sve! As you know my traditional stuff is very different from these, but this is the stuff i like to show on CA I enjoy playing around with new ways of painting, but i agree i too often turn to themes i love to do. The humorous ones are fun to do i admit, but it will never be a big part of my art, but then again who knows? Cheers!
Mr Man - thanks, man - glad you like him!
loomer - cheers, bro - more fatties coming
noiion - happy to hear that!! thanks a bunch!

du har virkelig styr på den blyant Simon

føler dog lidt at dine især landskabsbilleder kunne have gavn af nogle få steder med lidt mindre tekstur, til at skabe kontrast. måske med nogle hårdere former for at definere vigtige punkter.

    men smukt arbejde.

More nice stuff Fellah. I like your style, and I think you got a good thing going, but I agree with some of what sve says. Everytime I click on your threads I like what I see, but I'm always just a little let down. Not because the images aren't good, but they're getting repetitious.

Now, maybe somewhere I've missed some of your posts, but it always just seems to be some type of lone character standing around or posing in a textured void. I'd really like to see you do some fully finished images with more than one character and some detailed backgrounds. Or at least give me a link to one if you've already posted that I missed.

I like the scarred lady a lot. it's not often that an artists chooses to marr their females' faces, and here you've done it and she still retains some of her beauty. The warm values in her face make me doubt she's evil as one would usually think of a character with facial scarring - she looks more like she could just be a taciturn but good guide figure.

luxun - Hej. Du har helt ret med mere kontrast - de er jo lidt hurtigt lavet og jeg oversplatter dem for meget, så de mister lidt dybde. Jeg vil passe mere på fremover. Tak, du!
hurricane - cheers, mate - same to you!
MIKECORRIERO - thanks man, im starting to enjoy doing inviros, so more will come!
jfwalls - good crits, man! Its like reading my own mind btw. I have been having too much focus on chardesign and concepts (of some kind) and not enough on fully finished illustrations. Seem i cant avoid pushing myself harder now - cant keep letting people down, hehe - its a good thing! There is a few things on my website - but not alot i admit. Thanks for the words, mate!
nonie - i love painting scars, so no one is safe hehe. But im very glad you think she still has some kind of beauty - i was trying to get that kind of contrast in her. And i dont see her as evil either. thanks!
Interceptor - glad you like it, bro! Oy, we need to trade soon!
    Jens - thanks alot, mate!
ElvisMcVegas - thanks, man! Its fun to draw!

Hello, Simon. How are you, how is restoring yourself after art marathon? I still hope you will show me all the paintings.
I looked at your website recently again, it was a great journey in any way. I remember history of many of your drawings and paintings. For example the drawing of bloody butcher and discussion of how Russians dress themselves following. Or troll in love, and series of ugly sculls after that, to balance everything. Funny, I wrote comment to almost everyone one of the drawing or painting. Good times, good healthy fighting of different mindsets, wasn't it fun? I thought you are a redhead with round cheeks in this time, partly because of your user name effect. And face beating in your art work, a lot of face beating in this time. . It was great to whine and complain about that and look for outcome in the next post . heeheh. Wasn't a manipulating though, just honest reaction. and a bit of fun.

Hehe, this comment has the same taste, like old times.

about the last painting. It's strange painting. Did you want this uncomfortable, disorganised effect? because the composition leaves impression of sudden moment, not prepared appearance of the object in front of the viewer. Like a spontaneous photo shot. Overall, uncozy feeling.

And I'm thinking about these spots of blue, and wish they were not in the picture. They are so greedy for the attention, they don't allow to look anywhere else. And my eyes skipped from other parts od the image to these spots and they don't carry any information or meaning at all. All these luscious textures look pale comparing to these bright blue spots. And I'm not sure it is right shade at all.

    Strange composition in my opinion.
