Thanks for your comments. We are always trying to improve our products and services so we appreciate the feedback.
3D Leadpencil - It's true you can find pictures on the net for free. However those images do not come with any copyright license. So to use those images for anything other than a personal hobby is illegal.
Our service aims to provide artists with a source of photos that they can use safe in the knowledge that they are free to do so.
Asoir - We found that 800x600 was an optimal resolution for on screen viewing and a4 printing whilst maximizing download speeds. However we do have plans to add higher resolution images in the future. If you feel £1 is too much, what would you feel a fair price for a product such as this would be. We would appreciate the feedback.
ng Gorden - We felt our service would be of interest to the members of this community. we are sorry if it has come across as spam.
Dile - Do you not like the design of the website? What would be your suggestions to improve it?
Thank you all again for your comments.

I think if you added a LOT more images in the sections, and go ahead with the higher res images, (perhaps have an option after purchase to download a smaller version that comes free with the higher res one) you could do fairly well. istockphoto.com should be good inspiration for how to offer your services, as they have loads of royalty free, cheap, high res images.
But I really must emphasise how much images you have to offer to compete with other sites.

I must say THAT was a proffecional response, sorry about all that though, we get to much spammers around here and we ussually confront them harshly.
High resolution, for regular users, yes the optimal size is 800X600. Other digital artist ussually go for a little more and even double that resolution.
Also most artist have decent and free reference resources, but i can certainly tell you that some artist have problems when it comes to look for action/ motion pictures in strange angles.
Best of lucks

Thank you both for your replies. We appreciate the support.
Asoir - We are intending to add images on a regular basis. Ultimately we want to cover a wide range of subjects with many images in each section. However building up a service like this takes time. We will be adding new images soon though so keep checking back. istock photo is a good source of inspiration. Thank you for mentioning it. We hope to provide a similar service but focused on artists.
Thank you for your reply. We appreciate the feedback.
Shamagim - Don't worry. We understand the response. There is a lot of spam on the internet at the moment so we understand the reaction. However we do feel that our service will be of interest to the members of this community.
Thank you for your thoughts. Action pictures are something we are looking into at the moment. Hopefully we can add some to the site soon. We do have some images of trucks and cars in motion in the urban section. We hope to add more images like these in the future.
Thank you both again for your replies. We appreciate your support and feedback.

We have added two new reference photo collections. Infinite 2d Skies collection and Infinite 2d Urban collection. Each one contains six images for the price of five. All contained in one simple download.

That site design is really rough on the eyes man. It's hard for me to trust an online business targeted for artists that has poor design. What does your site offer that another stock photo site of comparable or cheaper prices (say istockphoto.com)? 800x600 72dpi is hardly print resolution, and other sites at least offer the option for the user to download higher-res images if needed.
You might con a couple of people into buying shit images similar in quality to photos churned up from a Google image search, but I don't think anyone is biting here. Contribute something to this community other than spam.

We have just come across this thread whilst browsing the site. We were not aware of a rule of this kind when we signed up. We read all the sign up terms and there didn't seem to be any rules against relevant advertising.

I doubt that hardly anyone would BUY reference images, digitally, two words google image. On top of that there are thousands of websites that give images of much higher resolution for free.
I fail to see how is this viable.
And besides, copyright, if you just use it as ref who cares about that.
