    The second season was boring, it deviated from most of what made the first season so great. The third season learned from the slightly lower ratings of the second and went back to the formula that worked so well in the first season. I was kind of only half-heartedly watching the show after the second season went so far downhill, but when I caugh some of the third season, I saw it was awesome again (though I have my doubts about the finale and what is coming next in the fourth season).

    I found out about Battlestar Galactica a few months back, maybe before Christmas if I recall right.

    I wasn't too interested at first, but my boyfriend was watching the third or fourth episode I think. I happened to check the screen... and I couldn't stop looking. I eventually had to sit down and spend the whole afternoon watching episode after episode ^^;

    And trust me, it only gets better!

    I just couldn't get into that show. I don't know why.

    The way Sci-Fi splits the season in two with a summer finale and such makes it confusing as to exactly what season we're on.

    PS. BSG rules.

    Oh yeah, side note, did you hear they're going to be doing a Cylon Invasion spin-off series called Caprica? I'm wondering how that'll work.

    The show is damn good. Season two was just fucking incredible. When the Pegasus came into the story things got really delicious and juicy.

    I started watching it basically because a friend at work really wanted someone to talk to about it, so he loaned me the first season on dvd...

    I think I'm still in denial. The end of that show shook me up like nothing else since Grave of the Fireflies...

    Hm. It seems you're right. I think I was confused by two things:

    1. The whole "let's split the season in half" thing that was already mentioned.

    2. The fact that season 2 is 20 episodes! instead of the usual 13-14.

    I was under the impression that the Pegasus showed up at the finale of season 2 and ushered in season 3. My mistake.

    Well then, I revise my statement. The first half of season 2 meanders aimlessly away from what made season 1 so great. The second half of season 2 is fan-damn-tastic.

    Truly one of the best sci-fi series out there. Always glad to hear that more people are watching it.

    MEP - yeah, it is definitely confusing the way they stations set the schedule. I was drooling for months before they aired the second half of season 2. I had forgotten that they sectioned off the seasons, when I posted my comment.

    It funny, up until seeing this series, I hated sci-fi themes for shows, (can't stand the Trek, and not too big on StarWars... though, some aspects of the latter intrigue me). This show totally captivates; I actually sat down and watched every episode of season one back-to-back, even after that, I still wanted more. This show somehow even lured me into Firefly, which I now think is great too. I'm such a noob-nerd-geek.
