i was watching a video tutorial by Hydropix and he is able to go into a folder he created of photos of textures and ornate doors and stuff and bring that image onto the one he was already working on. It also seemed like he could bring that picture in without it being in its own window like what would happen if i did File --> Open. With that imported image, he could then change its opacity and reshape it. Does anyone know how to do this?
Also he goes into an option where he is changing certain colors of the wall and floor; does anyone know what option that is?
This would be of great help... and if you wanna watch the video to see what im talking about here it is.... http://www.hydropix.com/tutorial.htm
looks like he's just using some basic tools in photoshop to me. You can drag a picture on to your canvas using the selection tool (v) ... Ctrl+T will transform the picture... and Ctrl+U adjusts the Hue/Saturation.
"Learn as much as I can at whatever cost, then give it away for free and ask for nothing in return" - (me!)
He is only using photoshop and a application what comes with Photoshop CS2 called adobe bridge, more info on adobe.com
If you just take a look at his layer pallet you can see he is using multiple masks combined with gradients and stuff.
He also has lot's and lot's of textures and custom brushes
also he has more expierence in this
so when you are starting out, like me don't focus on art works like that.. Just begin abit lower! just check this site's EOW and stuff
