DSG 1073: Fantasy/Architecture: BUILDING, IN GREAT DISREPAIR, IS SHAPED LIKE A HEAD

    [ Mmm... ]

[ Might look like a human head... ]

[ ...might look like some other head... ]

[ ...should certainly look like a building, though. ]

surfacemonkey- good job, definitely a better approach than mine.

something- good start, but i think it's a little hard to make out the head shape. the need to tilt my head sideways throws me off without clear facial features.

Did this at my lunchbreak at work... took my old (crappy) acecad tablet and downloaded a trail version of Photoshop

I guess you could say that it's kind of Goofy <- get it? (in case you don't know about the tower you can see it here)

    Great work everybody!

surfacemonkey - That's some kick ass lighting you got there.

SquirrelHunter17 - Very moody. I've staired like forever at the picture and I can't see "the head". Al I think I see is like a guy in profile with a wide open mouth and a hint of tongue

Something - Heh, kinda clever to tilt the head like that, took me a while to see it.

mahsroh - Nice sky and lighting, nice design on the building aswell, but even after you've explained it, I still have some trouble seeing the head.. I probably just lack imagination

Bhud - Well I suposed you could say that the big mountain was a large building

Ling; Imagine on Squirrel's a dude who's face is mostly in silhouette. The entire left side is covered in shadow, but some cleverness created an inverse silhouette type thing, Look at it as if it were a whole head, not in profile view.

lingmerth, i like yours, especially since i was just at disney a month and a half ago. Yay RSAD Gaming Club!!

bhud, in spite of it not being very building like, I'd still not want to walk through that gaping whole of a mouth for fear of being swallowed. =p

chaosrocks, i think yours is the most human of all of the entries. despite all the clutter with the bushes, rocks, and roads, yours is very easy to see if you know what to look for. Good job!

Unfortunatly somebody already beat me to my water tower Idea, but I'll post it anyways, Here is Black and White which I like better cause I still suck big time with Digital Watercolor:

    This is the Colored one,

Total took me about 1 hour and a half for all of it.
Gimme some tips on how to improve with coloring.

Ah, it's good to finally get back into these. I got to make it a point to do these everyday now

surfacemonkey- great coloring in that and nicely done!

Lingmerth- Funny funny, good job with it too.

Osmus- Nice b&w! I'm still searching for the face...I think I need a hint...

For Osmus' sketch, the hint is to look for a really big, toothy smile.... i see it.

Hey guys, Ive watched this board for a long long time and since summer is here I have time to actually try some of these! I love the ideas this guy comes up with. Its so creatively delicious for my brain to dig into.

What I had in mind didnt exactly turn out tho... infact I have no idea what this is.

    20mins in total.

Slowely but surely, this quirky building is reclaimed by nature, as it becomes home to a whole new variety of species.
painter, I'd guess half an hour

although sitting on demolition row, some people still called the barely standing tenement building "home".

thanks mr joe. not charcoal, but conte. after finishing up in painter, i did some post in photoshop and applied a fresco filter to give it a more grainy look & a little more punch - so it came out looking sorta like charcoal.
