kischi - Thanks! You know I will

Blaz - Yeah. Tons of learning still left to do. It really is true how much hard work it takes with all this stuff

Today's dump is more of the same. I'll start it off with a paint-over of some line work by someone who posts on this forum. His name is Scott James. You can check his sketchbook over here:

shyamshriram - Much honor my friend!

Life drawing was great and fun this week (like usual). There is some tragic news however. Apparently, there are not enough people to meet the demand, sothe life drawing class my come to a hault. I am not looking forward to that.

I have been doing some thinking, and I have come to the conclusion that I don't want to pursue my interest in comics. It's a tough business, and I'd rather spend my time getting a concept art job. So expect to see more "wacky" shit.

Here's todays post. First is a warm-up from my MIND!!!

And a quick shot of my dirty work area

TheGnoll - He he, always a pleasure. Not sure about tips, and I especially have NO IDEA about getting in the industry. If you have tips of those, PLEASE fill me in! As for drawing, be lose and sloppy, and always think about shapes! Lame I know....

Thought I would sneak this one in! It's my present to my special lady for the big V DAY!!!

    Little lame-o update!

First is one of the main character from the Kord and Harley project I'm working on. Just a little scribble

Next is some fun stuff, then we will finish it off with an Iron Man. Till next update!

dude your anatomy studies are realy coming on you realy starting to creates cool forms and poses but you should build on those studies you have all the scketches and gestures but no big final pieces, i think you should do a few solid line human drawings of head to toe usuing the knowledge u have from your bridgeman studies. i would liek to see that

(P.S mario is greatest video game character ever concieved by the human mind!)

It sems you have corrected this problem, and to make sure you don't do it again I'm gonna point it out-

Your female figures almost always had that ribcage muscle thing, and it really freaked me out, it gave too much of a masculine edge, so be wary, also you seemed to fixed the slightly masculine jawline as well.

That said I enjoyed this SB very much.

this loose stuff is so cool, the more rigid finished stuff is nice, but those loose lines are just pure funk!

Great to see another comic style artist around! Really dug looking through your work here. I see a lot of progression from the start to the current batch. I love them 2-pagers with the monsters!

Very good confidence in throwing the dark shadows and renderings. Something I try to do as well. And somebody is studying his Bridgeman! Good man!

I see a bright future for ya! Keep it up and I look forward to seeing a lot lot more!~~~Patrick

life on the sofa - Thanks man. I will try to have some tightened/finished works thrown in here. Thanks for stopping by!

    TGping - Woah, nice catch!

    Sopor+Aeternus - Gracious!

Banshax - Ahh ha haha. I love that. PURE FUNK!

JadeDragon - Much honors mate....much honors.

Oooohkay, so this update is a quickie. I had to deisgn Pride for the Kord and Harley comic, so it took some studies and some trial and error. Love to know what you guys think, and thanks!

P.S. Also included the original in which I couldn't stand. Thought it was way to boring.

    Original

    The one I prefer.

    Also, a few friends wanted me to do a rendering type tutorial. Not the best, but here's the link to it with some words;

And here's the pics for the lazy

The 5 stars mean someone or a group of people think your sketch book is 5 star quality, if thats what you meant by it.

Anyway, I -love- your stuff here. The lion guy looks awesome and I love your colour and light drawings. I need to work on that myself.

Would you mind stopping by my sketch book and critiquing it? Its in my signature and I would appreciate it
