The likenesss isnt there at all really. You havent taken any features into account when drawing this in my opinion.

Things I see that dont match up...
    1. The brow line seems to be higher and perky in the drawing, in the photo hers look a little lower and chilled out (like bedroom eyes).

    2. The cheeks are 2 sunken in and defined/angular compared to her more rounder and fuller cheeks and face.

    3. The bottom lip is really full in the drawing. The photo suggests that the lips are in even balance in terms of size.

The drawing is good but it just doesnt look like her even with this paticular style.

You made the nose a lot bigger too - most girls wouldn't like that

she also has a way bigger chin than the one you drew, also it looks like she is slouching way too much, maybe thats just the style but anyways she also looks to me to be too skinny compared to that photo, i would rework that entire picture before giving it to her.

Like the picture, just rework the light on her chest & arm, flat tones like in the face. Also, what is that dark spot under her nose? Really doesn't have a reason to be that dark.

Thanks for the crits guy, general consensus being that I pretty much missed the mark on the accuracy of the picture. Back to the drawing board, I definetly appreciate the honesty though guys.

    Cheers,

    Tim
