Another case of yesterday's posted today. Didn't get back until early morning so I spent a little time before lunch colouring it as penance. Today's actual sketch will show up later tonight if all goes as planned. In the meantime I shall go play some footyball.

Sweet, thanks. Yah, the reading people are the poor chaps that I sketch on my way to and from work, via train .

Hey, thanks for sharing your work! I really enjoyed viewing your sketches. Congrats for keeping up with this. It's something I'd like to be able to do but I always seem to lack motivation. x:

Hey, you got some nice sketches in here! Jez no one tells me these things...
Colors are nice, but seem a bit foggy - seems like a value problem. Try switching things into grayscale; if different objects etc. don't read in grayscale then they won't read very well with color either. Try to use different values to seperate different shapes, high key is cool too but you still need contrast to make it work you know?

KJS: Thanks. I'll see how long I can keep up this pace.
Idiot Apathy: Love the suggestion. I shall pay more attention to my use of values. Thanks

Oooh, didn't get to scan these:
Day before yesterday (didn't have my sketchbook so I used an old newspaper and felt tip pen).
Yesterdays. Felt like a charcoal day.

Mind if i have another bash at coloring something of yours? I need to get back into coloring and the like!
Also, do you watch much anime? or read much manga at all? I really like your chibi characters, im wondering if youve heard of Bincho-tan, if not, it might be worth looking at. Although its all unbelievably cutesy i find it funny \o/
August 27th, 2006 #146
Heheh, thanks dude. Have at any image you'd want to colour.
Lately I've watched very little anime but I still do read lots of manga, except now I also read a respectable amount of european and north american comics.
Quickly checked Bincho-tan and it is quite saccharine
