oddly, I am designing a throne room for a Balinese shadow puppet theater. maybe I will combine the two
The Patriarchy had always ruled from the winged throne. The people said that condemned prisoners disappeared mysteriously after being left alone in the throne room. Called Azroth. and Belmoth the two sides of the great throne had never been seen to move, but somehow the throne was always in the sunbeams that bath the throne room. The evil Patriarch necromancer, curtained all the windows to preserve a more mysterious Darkness, somehow he disappeared too.
The coronation of new Patriarchs (and they say the Patriarch Petrov was a woman) was always begun by bowing deeply and respectfully to Azroth and Belmoth in turn. It is said that during the vigil of the Coronation the two rise from the throne room and fly through out the kingdom with the new ruler. None has ever denied this tale.

Can the throne room be based on a book/novel? In this case I caught a bit of inspiration from an old favourite of mine (Silverwing) in which there is a rat kingdom and the prince sits high up on his throne surrounded by garbage, or something along those lines. It's been a while since I read it. Or does it have to be completely your own idea? The book itself gives a rather general description. No pictures or any of that. If not, I think I've got another idea. I just like this one better.
I don't see why not, as long as its not based on someone elses visual depiction. But Im not the rule maker. Inspiration is where you find it.
I save whole files of descriptions just for dry idea days
Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me. Time to get busy
WOW! Fantastic topic, but I haven´t time on it, damn . Good luck guys, I waiting for images
^ this is an enviroment for Vlad. the CHOW i figured why not bring them together well sort of. so he is a mad man etc. who likes road kill and injured animals, he collects bones and fur. more to come about his enviroment...
doing enviroments is something new to me so it has been a learning experience so far
wow..nice... I gotta get back to work on mine... I trying not to think about the Vlad dude,he's too creepy for me
Still workin on mine, should be in by tomorrow night. I see some good ones already. This one is a good theme, me thinks.
butfucked by work, will desperately try, but i doubt ill get anythi g in
I gotta put in a couple hours on mine..Its supposed to be "Shiney"
*where is that shin-y filter anyhow*
Not finished but work is taking up time.
When monarch and church combine they become all powerful. This is what King Larain believed early in the 16th century eastern European country of Chavarki and it was more than successful for over fifty years of peaceful prosperity. His plan to shock and awe his subjects both by dramatic backlighting and loud claps of thunderous noise behind the scenes worked well. Unfortunately it also fostered such an aura of secrecy that when the secret of his mortality was finally leaked, the backlash by the populace was equally as shocking and awe inspiring.
its kinda meh, but i didnt have much time.
During a time of strife the Drakerise becomes the official seat of the king, with his war council he can command his legions and protect his people within its walls. It's said to be impenetrable and it has never fallen under siege, while most of the keep is simple and strongly fortified the throne room is said to be incredibly ornate, the skill of stone and metal working at that level long lost to its current owners.

nifty. Mr rook
nice one ben.
hah, cool stuff in here.
J.Mac - great colours, nice tie in with the CHOW. I'd just suggest skewing the picture of Vlad into perspective - it's currently a bit too front on. Also, the left chair arm should be slightly higher (look at the angle of the cushion - it should be about on approx the same line as where the wall meets tiles)
Red Rook - that's awesome. Great design and rendering.
Damnit Rook that looks awesome. great stuff man really, im always impressed by ue improvments when u post
Gonna post mine later... even though my arse might get kicked .
Gonna make some changes - hopefully for the better.
yo, here is mine!
Damnit, my designs all look alike...
Tuxania’s Golden Throne Room has turned into a museum since the last king –Xavier XI -died and monarchy came to an end. With its rich ornamentary work and the eye-catching violet light rings this room has become well known in the world of the kings in the 22nd century.
Red Rook: that's fantastic!
Mr. Blonde: love the blood, great one!
J.Mac: cool idea, great rendering!
speculart: the angle rocks!
