ok, this is a Work in Progress of a character design, and i think im at a slump. i thought id try something new tho. rather than just finishing it, and then having to change it because the critiques suggest that i do something completely opposite than i did...i figured id just ask. lol. basically, what i have to do is have one figure colored, and the other in lineart. so, im trying to figure out a way to marry the two sides...the white side, and the colored side. also, i cant decide what color to make the background on the right hand side....i need a color that doesnt throw off the balance of the image, but also doesnt compete with the white on the left, and STILL lets the viewer know that its for a sort of stealthy game. problems problems problems.

The hand that is on the gun is nice but her left hand on the one where she is facing away looks like a dark blob. I think your feet could use work too (but I like her thighs.) I'm not sure about the way her glasses line up with her nose but I can't really put my finger on it.

Not exactly sure what you're asking, but THIS thread has several images that incorporate (or "marry") line art and color images. Maybe it will give you some ideas. Do the color and line images have to be completely separate?

im not quite sure what your indecision is all about.

really the BG color is a matter of taste.
personally, id keep it simple, like this:

if you want to make it look more stealthy, maybe make it a grey/purple BG instead.
or, add some graphic elements to the BG that imply stealth.

maybe try keeping the BG dark, and inverting your sketch so its white.
    million options, try some out!
