Vertical: Thanks! You're right about the skull, was just a quickie but that doesn't mean i should neglect doing it right, right?

    Cassandre Palentine: You're welcome

These are really cool man, the latest one is especially nice. Your designs are always really good and I love your quirky style.

The only thing thats bothers me is that it feels like youve tightened up a lot for these and the line work is so minimal and clean. Its loosing some of the energy of the your normal drawings. Not sure how it could be better though, maybe just use lines more, put some in in colour aswell.

Great stuff regardless, keep it up!

PHATandy: You're hitting the nail on the head there. Trying to get a picture to look presentable i have to trade off energy for accuracy a LOT; and so far i haven't found a way to get both in a picture. Maybe work more analog and stop being a sissy about making marks? I dunno man. But i'm glad you think my pictures are quirky. Not sure what you mean by that but it sounds nice

    Hullow again
I must agree with phatandy, that super sharp clean style might not suit for you in the long run,,, since you lose your lively lines and energy in those images (also value composition) (anyway, since i believe in relative-subjective school of art theories, you decide offcource in the end what is you and what is not, i only make my assumptions based on my own bullshit and empirical bullshit gathering

Anyway i might have some nice images for you, some japanese artist that use both colours and lines in their work that are bit sketchy but very delicious and finished looking (not incredibly detailed & clean but working as artwork, perfectly) I will post some of those here, maybe they will give you some ideas about different ways.

Also working ánalog and stop being sissy about making marks YES

Your quick and loose sketches are really really amazing! Would love to see more of that in addition to the more finished pieces.

Yes, I also love the picture with afro skull character. Normally id say theres a good chance thats not an afro, but i know you wouldnt tease me like that. Now refine the image to remove all doubt.

I'm feeling a little uninspired tonight, so i'll have to skip the comments this time. That one piece isn't really coming along either, so please have some patience while i find a suitable way to approach it. In the meantime, here's a few bits and pieces:

    Piemonster: Sketch on dude!
Dark eyes: You're a good egg aren't you? Cheers man.
    The Fez: Thanks!

This one has been giving me a headache for some while now, but i managed a succesful reboot today on the ole' fucker, and it should be getting finished in not too long a while. Curious fact: things started to fall into place when i realized who that skull guy in the foreground really was. It was like the lids fell from my eyes.
Anyhoo, hope you think it's going to be any good, and have a merry Christmas everyone!

It's incredible to me how you use your custom brushes, it's a technique I myself am trying to accomplish and you pull it off flawlessly. Great composition and lighting as well, bravo! :]

daaammmmmmmnn son! Just went through the whole thread, mind blown! "Click!" (Locking myself in a room with a pencil and a stack of cheap computer paper) lol! That chick with the orc head in 860 has some lovely watercolor effects, reminds me of a character study for a Miyazaki film. Skeletor's sword looks a bit droopy in the last one, but that's an easy spot for a wip... You got the goods my man! If you ever want to exchange pieces in the private and have some critathalons' or do a collab' or whatever, just pm me. Much love and respect.
