    A few sketches - 1st timer here

ellow. Here are a few sketches I've done over the years (usually at school ), I have tons more but these a just a few of my favorites. Most of mine are usually unfinished, i just get bored with them easily. I'd like to get better, so any comments are great. Been looking at tutorials and stuff and trying to get better at photoshop.

I see a pretty damn good foundation here; you know how to use your pencil.

I'd start with some experimentation with values/lighting and BACKGROUNDS - the unsung hero of many an artpiece. Oh and do the usual - draw from life, get good reference photos and always take your time.

Welcome to conceptart.org, good start and happy drawing

thx. Regarding drawing from life...thats perfect I'm taking Figure Drawing 1 next semester, hopefully that will help me learn anatomy better. Also taking painting 1 which I really enjoy. Sadly I don't got any of my highschool art painting with me here at college.

Heres another pic I just did in about 30 minutes. Churnin some pics out for fun since its been so long since I doodled. This guy is inspired by Silent Hill (the movie, just recently saw it). I've played the games as well...beaten 2,3,4.

wanna get some feedback on my first real attempt at coloring in photoshop. Any tips, suggestions? I'll probably get rid of the outline, turned its opacity down for the pic.

ya but I've done other stuff in photoshop before. Mainly skinning in Counter-Strike and other games, which helped me learn stuff. But I've never tried to color one of my drawings before. My brother let me use his scanner so I scanned in a pic and wanted to try it.

    Great musculature on the sketch.

The photoshop stuff looks great too so far, but I'm not sure if that's too much shine on his skin or not.
