Cool vehicles. I don't know if I like the speckles everywhere. Maybe, if they were on the ground only or restricted to certain areas of the vehicles, it wouldn't bug me so much.

Any advice on doing vehicles, you know, tips and tricks, aside from the usual "get the perspective right" or "get the materials correct"? I gotta get off my lazy butt and do a couple.

Dear friends, thanks for your support.

hurricane: Hey, that's a great idea! Will give it a try and name after you. Just wait and see

MeTaL-Mike: Anatomy and hard-surface objects are probably the hardest topics. But I kinda concider them as fun challenges. And sure, I'll pay a visit to your SB.

AlexC: That's a big word, dude.

VanDog: Thanks, mate. It's still very simple though, gotta find more courage to create more than this.

Beonarri: Hi! I'll post my process very soon. It's so much harder documenting the "real" process as opposed to digital where you can just save versions..

Dandilion: Fasten your seatbelt, here's the one for you.

    Hope You like it, guys.

    Best regards,

    Khan

Thanks! The main thing I was wondering about are little tricks and things that may help vehicles be more convincing. I guess I'll just wait until then.

Nice work mate. Love the fact you home in on the perspective lines as guide to the T. Good to see discepline in its element.

daldbaatar: I'm glad to hear that, thanks!

Beonarri: Sure, there are some tricks and I'll post them soon.

    ikuru: Haha, brillant! Thanks, mate.

Cold: Thanks! Despite that method, I still manage to fail the perspective and make crap. Hope it'll get better.

    LadyHydralisk: Thanks, more to come..

OK, now this one is decicated to my fellow friend Hurricane, who made a cool suggestion: one wheeler / tank / different shape.
So here it is, buddy, the furious "Hurricane"!

    Hope You like it,

Nice to see some marker work! Strongly executed with solid designs.

I'm from the old pen and marker school of concept art myself. There are days when I shed a tear for it's virtual demise.

Hey man, this sketchbook is just filled to the brim with the kind of stuff I'd like to be able to do =/

I'm getting a bit more interested in ID...

Where do you come up with your designs? Do they just pop into your head or do you get inspirations from real life vehicles and stuff? Any tips for starting out this kind of work?

That's quite a span of new age weaponry beneath your trench coat, Chup. Wherever you are, have a good Thanksgiving, and continue to ponder the art of it all.

    Dear friends,
    Thanks for the great support!
I started working on my LMS3 piece, so I won't be posting any new stuff in the following days.

Sellis: Thanks Stu, I'm trying hard.

    hurricane: Just for you, mate!

unit: Hey dude, I love your work!

    MeTaL-Mike: Thanks a lot!

    Alex Alexandrov
: The Artist formaly known as Whiteeee! Thanks man, me neither

zweiDee: Hey, Mr. Silver-Medal-Winner in Extreme-Ugly-Dancing at my place. Hope my neighbors won't shoot me..

    ChaoticKnight: Thanks, to you too!

joaKimArt: Thanks a lot, i blush upon that..

drd: Well, the reason for doing those mechs was that I suck as shit when it comes to techy-stuff. So, just as I did with anatomy in this very sketchbook, I forced myself to work on it by the numbers. Meaning, no happy accidents. That's crap. You need to fill up your mind library with enough nuts, bolts, pipes, etc. to be able to make those "happy accidents" happen.
And when I design, I make few thumbnails and than do something similar. Hope it helps.

kait: Also a good method, IMO.

Vulgar`: Hey, I'm very grateful for that. Thanks and all the best to you too!

Rezeroth: Thanks! But not really, it's just something that I try to teach myself now. Always been jalous on those who could pull these off...

dsg: Now, that's what I call motivation! Thanks, I love compliments. And to put me with those drawing-jedis in one breath is... Ah crap, it's just awesome!

Ok, no update for now. As I said, it's all about Last Man Standing now for me and I'll dedicate a lot of my time to it.

Once again, big thanks for your support, folks!

    Khan

heyy, alles klar?! bisch ber wienachte deheime? Bisch scho no ide UK oder?

Stuff's looking great! Small crit: on some of the ships the size doesn't read very well - they look more like small toys instead of big spaceships to me. Esp. diverse85.jpg, the one who resembles a gun. Maybe that resemblance is part of it but my guess is that it's too uniform, not enough smaller details? It has the effect of a normal sized gun with tiny people standing next to it - instead of a huge object with normal sized people seen from far away.
Not sure what it is, and maybe it's just me ;]

LOVE diverse50.jpg, the dark guy on page 10 - really strong!!
    Keep it up!

I really enjoy looking at your graphical designs mate, killer stuff and your eye for details are awsome as well. It seems as if your tailfins are placed at different positions at the back? I ummmm, marked what I thought looked quirky.

Otherwise your art are as great as ever man, keep rocking

    Cheers

dorian: Hey Dorian! Thanks for the crits, will keep an eye on it. I'm in UK but will be in the SUGARLAND for Christmas / Silvester. You too? If so, prepare your stomach for some serious alcohol penetration!

Buckster: Haha, good catch. I saw it when I was done, but left it the way it is. My philosophy here is to post bad stuff too. The reason for this mistake was that, for some reason, I measured the centerline for these last two bits from the wrong point and - bang, there it was!
    Cheers, man!

    Best regards,

I like that philosophy...shows you're actually a human. Not some robot attached to the internet somewhere or a brain in a jar on a shelf.

    Hi Chupacabra!

You have some great artwork here. I especially like the marker-pen environments.

I noticed that you're based in Zrich, which is where I've recently relocated to; 'living in Oerlikon. If you fancy meeting up for a beer and/or some sketching then get in touch.

    Cheers!
