    Another Speed Painting

    This is of an Elk or something my wife shot. Anyway. 1.5 hrs.

    I tried to get the colors fairly accurate on this one. Crit away.

    very nice study! you nailed it the elk, the colors and value's are quite accurate. : D if I was gonna be nitpicky though, I'd say the colors in the foreground could be just a *Hint* cooler. : ) neat stuff dude. makes me wana ride it.

    nice, like halos chain said, maybe bring some of those blue tones in the elk into the grass. Also the face of the elk should be a bit darker and more silhoetted.

    Thanks guys. I'll try that Mike. I didn't notice that about the head till you pointed it out, Now its all I see when I look at the thing. Amazing how much another perspective can shed light on the problems with a piece. I'll post a new one soon.

    Here is another project Im working on. This is just a color study for a final. 1 hr. 20 min.

    -Mike, I havent done it for this piece, but Im gonna take your advice and play around with the brushes some. I really haven't explored the possibilities with them yet though.

    I bet that the hardest part of this art was the plants behind. Those leaves are really worky. I feel sad when I have to draw them hehehehehhee.
