Man I just got done watching the Transformers 1986 movie, when OptimusPrime Dies...how many of you remember that movie? I was watching it and felt sad for the robots that change into stupid things...
The one Microscope guy, The Main baddy who turns into the pistol the size of your hand. Size and Understanding in this movie never exsisted when it was made, I had a good luagh...if you haven't seen it, go find it somewhere...
This is what came to mind when I watched it...wondered how bad of a change you can be...somewhat like the way the WonderTwins get made fun of...
Hehe, yeah, if you want a good laught, just watch old cartoons.
Like, for example, spider woman.
I have the movie... Nostalgic and campy, but pretty mind-numbing soundtrack... "YOU GOT THE POWER!!!"
You think Megatron turning to a firearm is stupid... There's three robot Decepticons who combine together to make a small camera... Now that's just crossing over the believability line...
Other than that, I love Soundwave and Blaster... Grimlock talks funny too...
Soundwave: "Soundwave superior. Star Scream inferior."
Grimlock: "Me, Grimlock, mad!"
LONG LIVE YOKO KANNO!!!
Well after seeing transformers fight into futility for how many years before this movie... it was finally good to see some transformers seriously DIE. I have fond memories of that movie.
that movie rocks
I used to watch the original Transformers TV show. In that one, they turned into different things on their home planet than on earth, but I guess they could still only transform into one thing?
Anyway, they're ROBOTS IN DISGUISE!
so who can really complain?
Is that the one where they fight the Gobots? All I remember from that was that song "You've Got the Touch" that Mark Wahlberg later sings in Boogie Nights
The Gobots have Leader One... Which I think is no match for Optimus Prime...
LONG LIVE YOKO KANNO!!!
Match or not, Optimus is dead, he is too nice to be a leaderOriginally Posted by seba_boi
also I remembeed how annoying the humans are in the movie...you see how many robots died in this! humans survive the whole ordeal and all robots die, I felt bad the the robo's...
Nobody calls soundwave Unchresamatic.

I used to draw the Transformers comic around the time this movie came out, although I didn't see it 'til a few years later on VHS. For me the best thing was the Transformers Theme performed by Lion as the end credits rolled... pure '80's metal pomp.
robots dont have souls
You have to love the way they mask the might marketing machine as a piece of cinematic history...
