::Patrick's SB:: Update 26th April 2006
So here's the update of my SB since my webspace has changed.
First of all i want to introduce myself:
I am Patrick and i am currently 16 years old.
I come from Germany and my dream is to become a concept artist.
I'd be happy if you guys gave me some advice, criticism, tips etc... because i really need that.
I have done some anatomy studies of the arm, gesture of the body and i tried watercolor sketches

Well, I did both:
I have read parts different books like loomis, a bit of hogarth, bammes and so on.... i learned the proportions, muscles and other parts of the body the way they explained them.
quite recently i understood that i HAD TO observe the life to learn drawing correctly.

Long time since i posted on my sketchbook, w/e!
At the moment I am at HDW Design (internship) and i can work on their APPLE G5. it's so 1337 :')
too bad that they dont use tablets in this area (printing area), so i used the mouse for this sketch:
well that's it for now, because the graphic designer at artschool used my nudedrawings for an exhibition. I will scan them as soon as i get them back. =)

I love the looseness in some of the sketches and the demon colour study is awesome. Other than weak construction in a couple of the anatomy sketches, there doesn't seem to be any clear weak spot so just keep drawing, you're on the right tracks. Good to see you're working hard on the anatomy, just try out some basic 3d shapes for the torso some time.
Very inspiring sketchbook all in all (makes me want to learn to draw loose)

it's the first time i use copic markers, those godlike objects *-*
these are the very first sketches i made (2 minutes each) and i must say those (very expensive) markers are great!!!!
to scan my works with webcam is very painful, so i'm sorry that i didnt make more screenshots

Good to see your studies here. I recommend taking part in this ongoing Workshop:
Anatomy Lesson Series: Body Part 1 - The Headto build your Portfolio. As a hs student, it's important to work almost exclusively traditionally.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
