time to start sketching a lot more, need to get serious. i'll start with some skulls n heads n stuff.
too tired to putz with the scanner tonight, so today its a digital one.
bunch of quick sketching, some from life, some from photos, some from my head, most with a ballpoint pen.
Hey there osmus! awsome sketchbook! love the way you do faces, you seem to have a pretty good understanding of how they work. I really liked the pirate. YArrr! and the digital girls hot haha, keep this stuff up, its a turn on. : )
spent waaaaaaaaay too long on this, but i finally got her likeness down. now i'll try to paint it with real paint!
I like your digital pictures. I hate to be so nittpicky on the last one. I think her eyes seems too white.... to be eyes white.... Normally eye whites are more of a mix of blue and grey, but never just white.
^^; It's really nice sketch book too Anyways I'm just dropping bye
thanks sillyling, i'll definately keep that in mind!
The skulls are excellent. Do some more anatomy studies.
i have a lot of sketchbook pages filled up, but i'll scan them another time. today was mostly digitals, and lots of em!
when i can't sleep, i can always dig up a picture of a buddy to play with
small update, this is a preliminary sketch
a still life i'm proud of. its oils 11X14
sharpies and photoshop
good looking work in here, especially the digital paintings from reference. one suggestion: use larger brushes to start then go smaller as you refine the details.
thanks brendan. i usually start with a really big brush, go to a medium, then jump right to a very small one, depending on what im doing. and here's to pirates and my head!
some doodles. most are from my head, some from life. most are with a sharpie marker.
I really like the lion ^^ Keep on sketching!
thanks sabe! this ones for you. by the way, your linework kicks some major ass

I myself am just now starting to do paints and when I do them there is a lot of violence and cursing that occurs during the process. Looking at your stuff you see a great progression, but what I like most is your paints. Your pencil work is coming along greatly. I think you are stepping in the right direction doing studies, but try and get some more looseness with some contours and timed gestured. As for you palette on your paints it is fantastic. Great stuff man
