Character Design: Zombie Cowboy
As in a cowboy that is undead and hungers for the flesh of the living. Pretty self-explanatory. Thanks to Prophet for the suggestion!
Tuesday, May 9th at Midnight EST. Two weeks, as usual.
Yeah... a real pity. Normally I wouldn't make an exception, but I'm getting pretty sick of seeing you talk shit all over the forum and never backing it up with your own work, so I'll make an extra special exception just for you, Ned.Originally Posted by Ned
So please, go ahead and "mop the floor" with "us kids." I'll look forward to it.
Let that be a lesson to you, kids - it doesn't pay to be a troll in the Thunderdome, because eventually someone will call your bluff and you'll be left with nothing but weak excuses and a bruised ego.
Just doing my job, ma'am.
yea sounds good to me. whos this ned fellow trying to cause trouble? nvm plate put him in his place.
I'll take another go at this and this time try a new strategy in which I do not leave it to the last minute. Ya'll goin down ya hear?
ill try my hand at this.
I think I'll try this! I've got nothing to lose, after all. Besides, the prompt sounds fun.
*ponders ideas* Hmm....
hehe good luck all, ill be voting! sheesh, if i was a year younger i coulda mopped the floor with you kids
Heh... I'd make another exception, but you actually would mop the floor with us.
Yeah, I read that entire thread - pure entertainment, and I imagine that Hyver's challenge will be more of the same.Originally Posted by panda
I almost feel sorry for the guy, but then again he desperately needs to be put in his place.
I've been a little off the loop all day. Every small thing has amused me to no end and I couldn't sign my name properly for the life of me this morning. I kept spelling "Kendra" as "Kena". So naturally when I decided to go through with my plan to start drawing this today, my mental state lead me to pick the most humourous of my three ideas.
I can't wait to see everyone's stuff on the 9th.
ok heres MY FINAL. havent got much time with my college work etc, so no colour.

Well, I think I'm finished. I might add more later. But this is him for now. So here ya go, Broken Bone Bill. Loads of fun with this guy and lots of laughter. I was originally going to do something more twards what prophet is doing with a hint of humour, but like I was saying before, I was completly off my rocker.
And btw Prophet, it's looking sweet.

lol keng thats one crazy cowboy, you'd have to be off ya rocker for that, hehe. Cool invinciblewombat, have the local people tried and tried again to kill this cowboy, hung and shot with a crossbow....harsh.
here's a sketch of my zombie man.
I'd like to get in on this one as well for my inaugural challenge entry.
I'm working on a sketch now.
Stated mine today. Just a placeholder WIP for now. Obviously, I haven't painted in the cowboy yet... He's under the BG right now in the pencil sketch.
So...horse for now.

Y'all best be perpar-ed fer dis here.
:You're goin' DOWN!!!!
I don't like the topic cause it doesn't really allow for a lot of creative freedom, know what I mean?
id say theres enough to work with....sometimes the challenge is within the limitations.I get what you mean though, as the other challenges have been subjects or general ideas. Whereas this is more of a specific character....give it a go though man, always something to learn.
I get what you're saying, but Prophet is right. Concept art isn't always as open as you want it to be, and you'll have to learn to work within limitations if you plan to do it in any professional form. Besides, the topic isn't that strict. Look at some past Character of the Week topics - there have been ones where people had to work within a whole paragragh of limitations, and still managed to come up with very diverse entries.Originally Posted by blog
If you really dislike the topic then feel free to sit out this round, but I bet you'd learn something if you just gave it a shot.
teen challenge, here i come
Very nice, Prophet, real fast, and real good, i like the overall feel (and reminds me of Cabrera's tuts) maybe the proportions are a bit off, but i like it
Keng, your entry is nice, fubn concept (maybe the colour are a bit too bright tho )
anyway, here's my skecth, hope i manage to finish it, i'll just cross my zombie fingers (hope its good enought)

Nice stuff so far guys, keep 'em coming.
John "Lightning" Greyson was once the fastest draw in the West. Fortunately for us, the same cannot be said about his reanimated corpse.
