Edit: would it be cool to extend the deadline by a week? I reckon painting could use another week myself

Here's a dumb question. Do we pick one of the obove or paint the entire casts. I think it need to be clarified. Even though it's pretty hard to get the entire casts up by Tuesday.

Do we need to pick one of these superheroes listed?

Will we need to make our version of the superhero or create a scene thingy with a reckognisable superheroe?

I'll have a go...I travel four of the days between now and the 29th. So I hope it is either only one character, or you extend the deadline. Also...it might be nice to assign the character randomly that might push peeps out of their comfort zone. That means one person per character...but it still is a challenge as to who produces the best one...just my two ce...damn that wasn't two that was ten cents

Heck, I'm in. I'll probably try to whip something up in oils for this one. I wouldn't mind an extended deadline either. I won't be able to start this until wednesday and that's barely enough time for my paint to dry.

It's very tempting to say I'm in, but considering that I (like many) are in finals and no way am I gonna be able to crankone out right now. Fun challenge though. I hope the dealine is pushed back.

How about the 7th May? Just makes things a little tricky for anyone using oils if there's only a week to do it in, gotta factor in drying time and all that.

yeah I aint really gunna be able to do something that quick either. Im trying to get some pieces for my portfolio so in the instance a speedy aint gunna cut it.
A fair few people seem to be wanted to use oils, so if we can make the deadline the 7th thats cool, otherwise I don't think ima have enough free time to participate.

I would like to enter this competition and try oils.. It will be my first time to try oil painting, hope it works out...

So.. I want to join in, but if this doesn't work out, or if I cant find enough time, I'll have to bow out.

Dude you are too F'n fast.

I really like the feel of the upper right. Kinda reminiscent of your painting of Hell, just tight in on the character. I also like the one beneath it, but it might be a touch too ape-ish.

Of course...you are blowing the suprise ending loizze was hoping for!

thanks for the comments and suggestions dudes and dudets.

    sundance -
`bout being fast : it`s all a matter of knowing your tools friend.
`bout eliminating the surprise factor : i guess i did ruin it. but i hope whatever HULK i`ll create will be surprising enough
    (color/composition/rendering-wise, etc..).

b.t.w - if posting WIP in this challenge is a No-No - i`ll stop. no prob amigos.
here`s some more real quick color sketches:
