Welcome to CA!
wow, these are really good ... your line could use some, but overall this is a good first post.

The anatomy of the face needs some work. Also your sketches are very messy and you are using "chicken scratch" to define form....drop lines in confidence. The light logic doesn't make sense either, one reason for this is that your darkest lights are the same value as your lightest darks.

thank you very much for your comments!
demented: thanks, i'll try keeping this thread updated
smitherines: i thought quite a lot about what you said, i don't totally understand what you want to tell me with the values of the lightest darks and darkest lights, i thought they should be the same value, logically...
anyways, here is a new one. i tried to work on my lines. tear it appart! (sorry for the flash)

nice man, good start , the thing about the values is that you divide things into light and dark sides, in the light side nothing should be as dark as in the dark side, and in the dark side nothing should be as light as the light side. Hope thats not too confusing

thanks archipelago, i think i got it
thank you Sirio_Brozzi for your comment.
well, i don't get to post quite often, i have to apologize. the main reason for that is probably the enormous respect i got for all the greaaaat artists here, actually i browse the posts at conceptart.org every single day... i got a lot of sketchbook pages which aren't worth showing, but i have to begin SOMEWHERE.
they are all really quickly done, no clean line or such.
the second one is a quick ref study
and again 2 more ref studies
i thank you all very much for your attention.

When you're sketching, try making a more detailed line drawing to map out the planes. That way when you're shading, you are doing more than just quickly drawing over places in shadow. Oh yeah and we have the same speakers.

Oooh, man, those paintings are gorgeous! I love the first one of the desktop sketch, where you can see the reflection in the box, and the texture on the box. Even though the back is loose, it still looks almost photoreal to me. And the fish-eye view of the room is so great! It's like seeing exactly what another person sees, alibeit a little warped. ^__^
I guess the only thing I could add would be in the shadings, maybe you could use a smudger/tortillion or even just tissue to make things smoother, if you'd want it that way and not see the pencil lines shading as much. But really awesome work though, I can't wait to see more!

In just a short time, you've improved tremendously, so YAY!!
My most favorite from all this, though, is the drawing of you (?), the third from the top. You've captured a very mischevious look on your face, and it really stands out, but please, when you can, scan it and clean it up a bit, maybe digitally paint it too.

piratemasque: thanks man, im currently working on my pencil shading, you will see it in that post
vitaliyvladimirov: hehe, it's cool that you like the drawing, but i dont think that i will do anything further with it, instead of that i will try out new things, which will hopefully be better ( and my scanner doesn't work )
dariocoelho: danke dario kommt alles noch, danke für deine netten worte - bis bald
TomteOfDoom: thank you, i will!
sooo, these are some new ones;
first of all thats an acrylic painting done for admission at the university - the topic was public transportation in vienna, took approximately 6 hours.
the rest are nude drawings from the classes yesterday and today, first two 45 minutes, the rest 25 minute poses.
i'm still quite slow, but i'm just starting out. i have the feeling that i will improve a lot thanks to those classes.
hope you like it!
