What strikes me the most about your work is your sweeping lines, especially in your figuredrawings. It gives your work a lot of flow and energy.

I think I'm going to try that approach to figuredrawing myself, even though I don't do cartoons (anymore). I'm sure I could gain something from doing so.

Keep up the great work, I'd love to see more of that figure stuff!

I like this smoothness of your gestures, every single one looks like you had a lot of fun drawing it. So if it goes for me, I will try that approach in my gestures. Great work BTW .

    Thank you all! =D

Now, I´ve decided to stop posting in my sketchbook here on Ca. Basically, in my opinion, the whole mood of this forum has changed a lot since when I first joined. This place feels more commercial, with all the "Buy this to learn the secrets to becoming a great artist" ads and newsletters. There´s far far less constructive criticism going around, and an increased focus on compliments and asspats. I want my ego bruised damnit, not strengthened Furthermore, most of my art heroes are out there in the "blog-o-sphere". Also, I find the whole "Stars Rating" to be totally counter productive, and that it slows down artistic gowth. That said, Ca.org has been a fantastic experience, and I´m very grateful to have been able to be a part of it.

But don´t you worry, if you´re intrested in seeing my stuff, I´ve updated my blog to become a sketchblog! I´ll try and update that often. Feel free to come by and check it out

    http://helgesonart.blogspot.com/

Finally I wish to thank all of you wonderful people who have helped, critiqued and encouraged me over the years. I would not be the artist I am today without you.
    Thank you! =D

It's unfortunate that you're leaving CA, but I get what you're saying. It's been a pleasure seeing your work here, and I definitely intend to keep doing it over at your blog. Thank you!

aw darnit. i'm so used to getting the updates via this forum, shame really. i'll be sure to stop by the blog every now and then, but i'll be less likely to comment and just watch instead.
as for crits, at this point, you'd have to say if you wanted a specific piece critted, because you've got all the basics covered. it's hard to give any general crits.
if you're still hanging around despite not updating, i'd appreciate crits myself. hardly get any visitors as it is.

Just saw your work in the finally finished section and just had to come over here and see what else you got.

I am truly mesmerised, inspired and damn jealous (lol) of your skills - particularly your awareness of lighting and how you render. I would really like to learn where you learnt from? Could you please please please pm me how you learnt color, lighting and rendering so well pleeeease.
