28chelseaslater: Thank you m8. I'm glad you find some enjoyment^^. I'm working on that more-thing.

Beonarri: Thanks for the critisizm. Appreciate it. I'm very glad to see you around again! I think one thing, with the machine, the pumps are very flat. The purpose though wasn't to make a fully rendered picture, but rather capture a way of designing as well as general appearance and texture.

    And a WIP. A gamemenu/movieposter.

    first step:

I've been around, I just haven't posted in a while. I've been watching, though.

I gathered the machine wasn't meant to be super rendered. I thought a background of some kind might help. Oh well, your piece I'm sure you know what'd be best.

Progres progress Keep rocking on! I love the way you've developed your style... gods, I needs to get going myself.

This last piece, I thought the tube-reminiscent thing in the background, beside Zorro, worked quite well. Added more depth and personality to the background.
But it's your vision, after all. And it's looking great either way.

Hope things are well that aside. Would be awesome fun if you came down to Gothenburg sometime soon

    'whose da masta?'

Gotta give you props for recognising my nic, as well as props for your stylee. It reminds me of another artist who draws very funky and charismatic characters - cheeks 47.

Your Frank is cool, i like his belly.

a new fairly crappy piece. it fills its purpose though.

Nice texture on this piece man, Its not so crappy as you say because the metal base actually does look like old rusted metal. Great job! As for your chracter concepts I would have to say that your doing a good job as well.

Sho-Nuff: Thx, Cheeks was, and in some respects still is, one of my greatest sorurces of inspiration.

    Jay Gunz:Thank you.

Now school's out for summer! Yays. Our game is finished and I finally find myself with enought time to draw. I'm planning on learning more about anatomical detail this summer. Anyways, I'll be able to post more soon.

an anatomical study, kinda, from imagination. I'm having some troubles with the back of the head.

And here's a geisha sorta. I've got a unique and enthralling backgroundstory for her. Inspired by the music of Debussy and Ikue Asazaki. oh yeah, you can find a teser trailer for our schoolproject "Brain missing" over at this link. The video is so-so, but I think it will get the point across^^. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zi5nbhoixO8

Nice updates. That tattoo on the girl's face must've hurt something fierce. I think the new tough guy would be a little less "meh" if you played with the highlights. He seems kinda flat to me right now.

Nice work and very nice progression, mate. I like how you keep pushing when you come across problems rather than slinking around them: that means you can only improve. Which means improve further, seeing how you're starting to develop both style and flexibility nicely.

Some of your studies and anatomy work (even from memory/fantasy) is really starting to take off! Good times. I'll be sure to keep tabs on this thread.

I really like the colors and grittiness on the buff swordsman you posted - is it traditional or digi? On the other hand, I've got a bit of a problem with the pose - it just doesn't seem very dynamic, especially his left arm (our right). It's like he just doesn't know what to do with it. Also, it might be my monitor, but the right hand is a bit hard to read. Maybe push the contrast in the tone to define the form of the fingers a bit more?

Nice going. Your characters are coming along really nice. Do some more perspective exercises and your characters will improve alot.

    Keep going!

Sorry for tha lack of updates lately, I've bben busy studying and drawing traditionally. And I've bben to lazy to scan any of it. Suffice to say, I've learnt alot!

Kateoo: Thank you very much, I was aiming for something like that. Actually it's a mix between traditional and digital. I worked in layers on transparent paper, meking body first, then armour, and finally a couple of layers with random marker marks. Then I did the colouing an rendering in photoshop.

Epias: Thx m8, I'll try it out

Hurri: thank you for your constant encouragement. Hope you're doing well.

Silvestri99: Thank you very much ^^.

And some digital stuff. Mostly practice.
