Thomas M, no problem pal, thank YOu for taking the time to come in here and leaving such kind words!
Hey Trixtar! Well, thank you for checking out the thread! Glad you enjoyed starting to delve into it, I hope you have time to come back again soon! And if you want a career in comics, my main advice would be to just start making them! Every panel you draw you learn something new!
SOOOOOOOOO... El Sketchbook Lorenzo Volume 6 is nearly here! Cheers Chuck! Well, it will have no start price or reserve, so why not have a go at bidding, you might get a bargain! Cheers for the kind words on the latest scribblings!
Thank you Blighted!! Much appreciated bro!
Thank you Jedininjaman! More character stuff today, enjoy!
A little delve into the Long Gone Don archives this morning, this was my original character concept for Bo Barley, which ultimately got ditched during the early design stages. If you like this sort of thing, and you'd like to see 140 pages more of it, then you really should read THIS!
The auction for the ultra-rare copy of the 140 page El Sketchbook Lorenzo Volume 6 is now LIVE on Ebay! GO HERE to check out the lising and place your bid! No starting price, no reserve and FREE POSTAGE to ANYWHERE in the world means this is an auction for the fans! And if that wasn't enough, here's a shot of the original illustration I've drawn on the first page of the book for ya...
EDIT: This is updated to give those of you coming to the thread for the first time a little overview...

Well, I hope everyone's weekend rocked! It's Monday morn early here in the UK, and I've just got back from a cool weekend of rumbling round the south coast in the ole' Amazon with my baby, dropping in on a load of old art school pals. Lots of fun, but it's left me super-keen to back in here and drop another week of posts for you guys! So here we are, I wanna start with a lil' MOON! flyer we did a while back, if that's okay with you guys!

A month or so ago, The Daily Telegraph asked us to create a mini "How to draw" excercise as part of the Hay Literature Festival publicity. We thought it would be fun to extend the challenge to you, dear readers! So, have a go at creating a monster the Etherington Brothers' way, send it to us at email@example.com by MIDNIGHT on SUNDAY 1st JULY and see it HERE on our blog!
So, I'm just about to embark on the second Von Doogan book, which features a lot of flying machines, and was reminded of something I drew a few years ago that I thought you guys might like to see. When I first got my Intuous 4 I was working on Baggage, which had hand drawn lineart, so I decided to create a few practice comics just to experiment with digital lineart, of which skeletons was one (I also created a few pages of Stranski, which I'll show in coming weeks). I had no story planned for Skeletons, I simply made it up panel by panel as I got to grips with the wacom. I present it here for you guys, in the hope you get a kick out seeing something a little different!
heyyy man! awesome updates!! i really love seeing all the new stuff! the next time you print out an el sketchbook deluxe, im grabbing that bad boy!! love all the new stuff from you guys! keep the goods rollin in!

Hey Lorenzooooo! Wow it's been a while and you just get better and better - wasn't sure if that was possible as how can epicness improve? but you did it!
In all seriousness (I know serious is boring but bear with me!) it feels like it's a maturing of style - a refining of something naturally beautiful and exciting... the only small crit would be one or two images have a slight hint of having been drawn as space-filler (ooh cool cosmic-putty! ) ...but good sir this is just a teeny tiny crit from looking at the page of vehicles... plus they are for a sketchbook so I'm not even sure if the crit is valid! ..... I still have a blast pouring over all the awesome detail in every one - some of those are crazy!!
Hey The7! Thanks man, yes, I always have a long way to go, a million improvements always to be made, glad you're seeing changes generally! As for space fillers, haha! Yes, some of them are ideas, some of them are really just doodles! Hope you enjoy today's bots!
Some mechanical pals to get your week started off right!
Hey folks! Happy New year! The holiday season gave me a little time to sketch, and so I present here a round-up of all the other tree and plant sketches I've posted on my sketch blog recently, for those of you who like everything in one place! 600 more pages of stuff like this in HERE!
