woohoo! that last random post just took me to level 2!! i did at first think that the gladatorial level was down to art skill(fool that i am) and i had to sit down and cry for a bit when i saw some level 1's with amazing talent. gladly this is not so and can rise up the gladiator levels without a thought for my failings as an artist

if you don't wanna say something like

"WHERE THE F*** IS THE POLL!!!???"

    or

"TOO MUCH FREEDOM IN COW, WE NEED MORE INTERVENTION BY FOZZ!"

then you are completely wrong in here and didn't understand the purpose of this thread...

A question for COW and concept art,

I noticed you got a rule that the creature should be without accessory/clothing. Is this a rule used due to its connection with commissioned concept art in the field? Should creatures/monsters created in concept art generally not have anything but what they were born with?

No, this rule is only made for COW, because i want that the entries are done and judged by the design of the creatures anatomy, showing a species not an individual.

For example if aliens discover the human race and want to show them in a scientific book like an encylopedia, would they show a man in business cloths typing on a laptop or a naked man? We show humans naked as well when we want to learn about anatomy and biological subjects...so that's why i want to have them without any accessoires if possible

You understand how mothers feed their babies when shown naked, you can't tell if you see them dressed.
You understand why humans have the muscle structure they have when you see them naked in context with how they move, you can't tell if you see them dressed.
    etc etc etc

yeah but if an alien saw me naked i dont think he wd wanna come to earth...i think they wud fly at topspeed in the other direction, but if i had clothes on they wdnt be able to resist hehe. ...*THOUGHT TO SELF*(hmm make it relevant, relevant..aha! i know)..WHERE THE F**k IS THE COW IN ALL THIS?..:0
Any fool can know. The point is to understand.

I didn't remember you asking for a link. If you had asked for one I would have put one in my response...

I simply answered the question asked.

I have a question! I've been kind of inactive, but I'm a long-time lurker. I've recently gotten the hang of 3D modelling, and am therefore wondering if I can make 3D COWs? I mean, do I have to paint an image digitally or traditionally to get it accepted, or can I do whatever I want as long as I don't brake the rules? Like modelling in 3D?

Was njoo just owned for trying to get the book thing going, or is the person who cut his thread out working together with him? Because until njoo said something it didn't seem like anyone was jumping on the idea. I don't know the whole story so I'm gonna be jovial and hope that everyone's working together.

Whoa, I just logged on to Conceptart.org (Activity section) and it said 952 people were viewing the COW section. That can hardly be true, because it is usually between 10 and 30. I've also notice a slowing down of Conceptart's Activity section (connection speed). I hope this site isn't being attacked or something. Admins, is everything Ok?
