    Fozzy and Jakkas:

Oh I don't doubt it. I think I could probably pick-out any of those guys and either of you as well... However, everyone is capable of throwing a curve ball once in a while, which a blind vote might encourage. Moreover, it would encourage everyone to give 110% whether it be because they don't have their well-known name attached to their entry or because with no names attached, the newbie doesn't feel like its a lost cause competing with well known contenders.

Moreover, although there are a few of us that seem to hang out in the COW forum, looking every day week after week, and we've come to know people's styles well... not everyone who votes looks every day.

You could probably work the anonymous compete/blind vote idea into the topic for the week... like a classified, top secret bio-weapons creature theme... or an alien life form the CIA found and is trying to keep under wraps...

We can't create plant creatures for this activity? The link to newmanhyde's critter is broken, so I can't see what he/she drew, but I always figured if we drew some sort of ambulatory plant critter that was an acceptable fit for "Creature" of the week. It's not as if it's "Animal" of the week, and I would certainly classify things like the Ents from The Lord of the Rings or the crinoid from the Doctor Who episode "Seeds of Doom" as creatures.

i dunno about the lord of rings thingies, because i didnt have the time yet to watch them all in one night which i want to do

So, there might be entries which remind of plants, but at the end it depends on how much it looks like a plant or creature or a mix of them AND how good the concept, design and execution is...

Many factors are important when it comes to deciding if the entry will do it...also my mood and time i have, that's true

Hey, I'm looking for the next topic, because I'd like to participate again. But you need to post the next topic and that usually means close the current contest. It is past 11 AM June 8th here in Los Angeles, thus it's way past deadline now! Please, new creature contest!

Use the dryer set on low instead of trying to drip-dry yourself...better use of time...
