    Unhappy Popup

    Hi guys.
    I didnt know where i should ask this.

    Iam making a website for school.
    Im my gallery there are little thumbnails of my pictures. What i want is that if you click those thumbnails there will be a POPUP window with the larger picture.

    I am making my site in flash (that the problem)

    I tried about 8 tutorials on the internet but every it fales to work

    I get the feeling that if i want to test it, it has to be online? its that true?


    hope someone can help me because i am allready to late for the deadline because off this

    It doesn't have to be online to test the flash. Perhaps try asking in the forums attached to the tutorials? (one tutorial + question forum here)

    Create separate html pages that contain all of your large images. Then in your Flash File, make each thumbnail a button then attach this Actionscript to each button: getURL("large_ImageName.html", "_blank");. On each button replace "large_ImageName.html" with the actual web page that corresponds to that button. This should open a separate window that contains the larger image.

    You can test your file by "publishing" the .swf file under Flash's "File" menu, then drag the published file into a browser window.

    If you need extra help on this, try visiting the "actionscript.org" forums or the "flashkit community forums".

    Thnx but this will give me a new window. The problem is that i want a popup window.

    Ill try to find some info on the sites you guys give

    I watched your link. And its pretty easy looking. But he had a example. SO i downloaded. But even his file doesnt work. If i click his button nothing happens.

    i dont know if you want to do it yourself for learning purposes but have you thought about simpleviewer?
