Perdido street station
Here is a cover art for the tremendous book " Perdido street station" by China Mieville for the french reedition of the book. Its universe lies between future steampunk, and Lovecraft's world.
This pic will be divided in two covers and the top of the illustration will be hidden by a grey area on which will lie the titles.
I hope you'll like it.

haha at first I just scrolled passed your text and was like "ah shit he fucked up some good painting with a hideous composition" but quickly afterwords I realized it would be divided and then I read your text explaining that very thing.
Hard to crit if anything I'd say the character to the right is maybe a bit stiff and akward, Other than that nice pallete, rendering, compo etc

Wow, the cityscape looks fantastic. The woman (forget her name) and the garuda not so much i'm afraid. But everyone's probably's got their own definitive vision on what they should look like i guess.

Thanks mates for those kind comments.
About the making-ff, I just started with a simple drawing with a pencil, and then I colorized he whole illustration in photoshop.
I feel the same about the woman (Lin), but I just didn't manage to make it better. I'll try my best next time
I'm affraid the garuda may need some more sophistication, but I found it quite "illustrative" of what I figured out while reading the book.
Thanks again for your replies!
