This is my first time posting here, so I hope this makes a decent impression. This is a model I am working on now. This is my first time ever trying to build something with Poly's. The model is 4246 faces. I am not sure how that rates on the scale of things (meaning I don't know if that is a light model or heavy model.) This is also my first time ever trying to texture something. I am kinda just messing around with that now...that is why it is not completely textured. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am also open to any ideas for how I should texture this thing (IE skin colors, armor colors, etc.) Feel free to tear this thing apart, I love crits...its the only way to improve.

hahahahhaahaha hes tight lokkin, i like thta cartoony style haha although id make his hed a tad smaller. i love cartoon 3d, realism in 3d i think it has no purpose besides feature film, nice dude i like him, be cool ot see a bunch of diffrent cahracters in teh saem stle.

John Doe Humpface: Yeah i am kinda happy with the head, but I agree the body just didn't have the same level of tender loving care put into it.
Looking good - for texturing I would start to look at how to apply a base texture to him - like on the body suit, a nice metal texture; then begin giving it scapes on the edges, worn look. For his face just get a good grain texture down and start pulling out the forms on the face with highlights and shadows. Play around with colors, like reds on the tips of his nose and cheeks. I think somelike like a pixar-ish eye would bring out some nice personality.
