april your right sorry bout that. In other words. A small community of people that have a distinct culture, atleast thats where my ideas where headed.

Bring in some funky unuseual buildings an awesome location, or something, maybe they have all carved their homes out of cliffs, live in treetops, or in the very bottom of some gigantic abandoned city, as they keep weird creatures at bay.
first thing i thought of was like a twist on an indonesian or oceanic theme, maybe include some funky buildings like this: E.O.W Round 20: Tribal Commune
or like houses on stilts in the middle of lake or they all live in boats?

I'm moving this week so it's going to be a bit rough, but I really want to start participating in this. So, I'm going to give it a shot. I'm not any good at 2D art, but the only way to get better is to work at it

    E.O.W Round 20: Tribal Commune
    Finished

The people of Eldar Forest took to the trees, when the Land Tigers made living on the ground impossible. Althoguh that was in prehistoric days and the Last Tiger's skin lies in the position of honour in the main Guild house. The People still live in the trees safe from Floods and invaders.

    E.O.W Round 20: Tribal Commune

Robed caped individuals, are proceeding to their place of worship. Within these temples lies something, that something we don't know is it dark or is this a divine entity that is leading this individuals to their promise land?

    My tribal commune!

oooop, here's mine.. description to come..
    E.O.W Round 20: Tribal Commune

my dear friend idiotapathy helped me with the description,

To the white elves that dwell amongst the caves, dragons are sacred creatures. Some say dragons are even offspring from their revered God, Idiamin. However deep in this canyon of snowy mountains, these two live harmoniously, The dragons in exchange for a luxurious life cared for by the elves provide transportation to and from the harsh landscape.

    Twin Peaks: Eastern Rise
High atop the venerable Eastern horn is the Tribal Commune's Easterly Rise Sect.
The Tribe's Abbot leads the monks through the peak's internal byways traversing from the East to the West peak for prayer ensuring the safety of the commune.

Hi - this is my first foray into any anything-of-the-week, but hopefully won't be my last

This is my WIP - explanation and final image coming later, although I can't guarantee too many changes (time slips away), but all crits/suggestions are more than welcome!

Otherwise I'm looking forward to seeing everybody elses - I was wishing I had come around in time to do last weeks challenge.

    E.O.W Round 20: Tribal Commune

Probably a little unclear for now, but some colour/shading will make it clearer later.

Edit: Just so that I don't forget - Description:
Perhaps the decendants of an unfortunate shipwreck, this tribe have made their homes on the steep cliffs of these rock formations that rise alone out of a turbid sea. Their society relies upon the masses of kelp and sea creatures that they hoist up from the oceans depths to use as food, building materials and clothing.

Here is my pic kinda a wip but i doubt i will finish it as i have gone off it. Suppose to have a cardboard/wooden slum on the side and on top of the sub and more people. And of course a another past over to fix up other numerous problems.

    Ok this is the final.

    E.O.W Round 20: Tribal Commune

The weather changed and the water rose society broke down and war came. But the tides receded and what was left was a shell of the old world what was once great nations where now tribes. The East side and 16 street tribe lives where their names say. A old submarine is where there tribal chief rules and is there last protection from roaming scavengers and other tribes.

not great, but im not a great artist.

    E.O.W Round 20: Tribal Commune

a tribe, stranded on the tops of cliffs thousands of feet in the air, use this secluded area as a meeting place for the leaders, where they can be undisturbed by the lesser tribe members.

No. No. Uh uh. No way. Ain't happening.

    alright, gimme a sec.

I ended up with a sort of polar opposite of Mitzes concept oddly enough.

Struggling to survive in the vast and unforgiving Pacific Savanna the tribe adopted this relic of some long lost civilization as a communal shelter

Could/should have done a lot more to this, but i just got over it i guess... time for cow and chow now. Ow. ow. ow

    E.O.W Round 20: Tribal Commune

This tribal commune exists along the only marked path on the Freundin Glacier. It has been able to survive by hunting seals, polar bears and other arctic wildlife to sell fur pelts to travellers crossing the huge glacier. With only three of the remaining 24 tribesmen remaining being women, it is expected that this well loved and welcome sight for trekkers may not exist for much longer.

red, that could be 100x better if you chose some hard edges...right now its all soft edge which is bringing it down... the concept is fantastic but you need to jam it with some 100% opacity colour choices in the light. DO IT!!

    Talking Sabeth village

On Tongalla Toka, the northernmost island in the Tongallii archipelago, the Sabeth tribe resided in their hanging village above the waters of the Lasanya sea.

Here they were safe from the scavenging Larda lizards that roamed the main island, while close to the habitats of their primary source of food, the delicious Inala crabs.

Ok, there goes my first post in the EoW. Soooo many things learned, so many curses thrown in PS's general direction, soooo want to get a tablet.

I am stunned by the previous entries here, bumskee I love your style. Can't wait to see what's taking tyranx so long.
