Ok, sorry for the late update, here´s my reason: I was on family holliday
up north for a week, supposed to b a ski-trip but instead of snow, i rained
But as i was fighing the boredom i came across the "sky shark" concept
(look above this post) and i couldnt get it out of my head, so I decided to
delve more into his "domain" and started to create a world for this massive
beast! (I know u might think; oh my god what a fanatic geek but hey, i
    was bored to death)

So i planned the basics, the world is called PIRAKHA and its filled with air
floating sea-demons with wings. The atmosphere is filled with a substance
similliar to Helium (not so explosive) so it makes it a little more possibe to
belive that there are giant monsters floating in the air Iv only planned
    out 2 "factions" or "races"
    Wich is:

    Aquillion:
This people are men who lives near the sea, they are the masters
of the "Myrmiadons" wich are the beasts that reflects the sharks and
mantas. A man from this race of men is not a man unless he has his own
Myrmida (shark), wich is given to aquillioneer when he reaches the age of
10 winters. This is a holy ritual for the aquillioneers, the boy and the
myrmida enters a pool surrounded by family members and close friends,
then the boy cuts off the myrmidas center finn (the wing ontop of its back)
and places himself ontop of the myrmida, the boy is now "the myrmidas steering finn", and only he can now step up and ride this beast.
This is a ritual all Aquillioneers has to go through.
Their religion is similiar to paganism, they have difrent gods wich grants
diffrents powers and abbilities. Their main god is Myrmillo and is the god of
war. Their armour and arsenal is made from a light metal found in mines that delves deep into caves underneath their main city and capital of
Armadilla. Its inspired by their ancient tradditions. Their weapon is often a blade and blunderbuss wich carries 12 shells filled with a liquid substance
    that explodes during impact.

    a spotted Aquillioneer scout:

two Aquillioneer officers leads the way:

    Kirgith:
These people are men who lives up in the highest mountains, or floating
cities. They want to come as close to the sky as possible, for them the sky
is holy ground. Their gods are the moon and the sun. These people ride the
winged beasts that roam the mountaintops, they are called the "Bhanteas"
or "Bhantas". The kirgiths are divided in diffrent tribes, each has its own
emblem. This people have no land since they say the sky is our homeland,
only the lesser and poor classes of the society live on high mountain tops
and cliffs since they cant afford protection in the giant floating cities, that
roam the sky like giant stormclouds. They are famed by their long hats
wich indicates the wisedom, experience or knowledge of a kirgith tribe
man. Their tribe leaders have the famous twosplit hat, wich instead of one
theres two tails on his hat. The mighty Sky whales are often tamed and
taken away by the kirgith tribes, and then used as transportation and
giant war machines. The war machines are equipped with pulse cannons
and chain rifles from head to toe. A War-whale is often reffered as a
floating fortress. These people are masters of ballistics and rarely uses
other weapons than their firearm. Only a few tribes has a traddition of
using blades as their sworn enemy, Myrmillos use.

    Another PIRAKHA thingy:

    Pirates:
These are tribes of thiefs and madmen, roaming the sky in airships and
giant zepplins. Few pirates has learned the ability to tame a Bhanta or a
Myrmida so they stick to ships. They plunder and steal from merchants as
well from warships. Any ship worth raiding is a target. These men are often
outcast from cities or banned from their homelands. They gather at taverns
and slum districts of lowlife cities, planning their next assault, or telling
horrible tales of monsters and overnatural things. These men dont have a homeland, but are scattered all over neutral terretories. Their arsenal
consist of firearms, swords, shields, power bows ...ect.. They muster everything they can loot or scavenge from their victims.

The only people known to mine into the earth in Pirakha is the Aquillioneers.
They have lots of minerals and metal stored deep down underneath the sea cliffs, where they live.

Quick sketch of a mine entrance:

Man, you're amazing! I wish I was as good as you...

    I'm pretty jealous (I'm 15, and you're a lot better than me).

The only problem that I saw (wasn't that serious) was the profile views seemed a little messed up, but I couldn't pinpoint. Don't worry though... I suck at those too.

Just too many sketcbooks to follow them all! Don't give up though, just keep posting and you will get more replies.
I was watching your sketchbook, I think the latter images are stronger, i really like that last one (the minning facility), even though it is such a simple sketch.
I also like that stuff of the pirates in the flying sharks (the ones they are actually ridding the sharks).
    Keep it up!
    Cheers

    Awesome,
Not because you're just 14 years old.But if you would have had been as old as me,Still this art would ahve looks so good for your age.
Kid you got some talent .Dont let it go.Kee with it.
I am serious about it.I am telling this to you cuz I had friends like you who were so good at art,but they just drove away from it all at almost the same age as yours because they wanted to focus on academics. They lost the most precious thing to them ,probably the only thing they enjoyed doing.
    Keep with it.
    Muchlove.

Oh my...! You have some -amazing- talent for your age, and even more than that. Don't ever stop drawing, if your characters look as they are now (interesting concepts, nice ideas... they're really awesome), I can't wait to see how it'll look if you keep on sketching.

This has probably been said before, but I'd love to see some real life stuides. Even if drawing from imagination is so much more fun, you learn a lot by watching things and try to put them on paper. Draw everything you see - people on the street, watch how they move, their anatomy and so on. Look at shadows, how the light reflects on different objects, etc.

Really great stuff however, please keep posting!

Ok, here´s a new faction for the Pirakha theme:

    Sha Kingdom:
Sha Kingdom streches from the far east to the far west , they are the
people who live on the ground. They have no tradition of breeding sky
beast. Their way of transportation is wheicles and air ships as well as boats
for sea travell. They are masters in technology and industrialisation.
They are mostly known for their weapon industry. It was they who first
invented the gunpowder and the revolutionary plasma shell ammunition
which later on was bought up by the Aquillioneers, and was quickly replaced
as the official ammunition for their 12mm blunderbuss sidearm.
This people usualy live in peace, when their not in war with the local
pirates or rebels. They have a wide culture with lots of local religions, this,
unfortunatly, often leads to conflict within the capital, Shaacra.

Il update som more info on this faction later...

Here´s a quick sketch of their main capital, Shaacra.

Here´s another quick one. Of the crowded streets of Shaacra

Another Pirakha concept update, and yet another faction:

    Barokh:
Middle-earth has its orcs, Pirakha has its Barokhs. These dreadfull
men live deep into forested areas in the Sha kingdom. They are just
as primitive as they are strong. A full grown Barokh man can grow up to
2.3 meters and weigh up to 200kg. They are a savage people that live of
the nature. They are divided up into diffrent tribes and clans. They belive in
the spirit of the forest and the power of the nature. They have shamans
that uses urbs and natural plants as medicine and to make potions to cure
diseases and to grant diffrent abilities such as an eternal life and super
human strenght. This is ofcourse just myth, though that some belive that
the shamans has some kind of super natural abilities. A clan is leaded by a
chieftan. This male is the biggest and strongest male of the clan. This he
has proven by defeating countless enemies and defeating the previous chief
in a pit fight. The strongest men of the tribe is often made into Barokh
Berserkers. These men are the silver-back gorillas of the clan. They go to
war with a club, hammer or often just with their bare hands. They are the
most dreaded members of the clan, as there has been observations of
berserkers feasting on other lower classed Barokhs. To become a berserker
u have to go through a ceremony the Barokhs call Barad-Okh wich means
reborn. The huge man walks up to the clans shaman, then the shaman
preforms a ritual. He then calls up the spirits af the nature to grant these
men unlimited power and duration. He slaps the man with a claw from a
forest bear, wich the Barokhs say has special powers, this claw is
consumed with a poison from a toxic spider. The effect of the poison is
intoxicating and works as a drug. The mans muscels expand and his cells
regenerate three times the speed as a normal human beeing, in other
words, he can take allmost three times the damage a man can take.
A leathal wound for a man would b just a scratch for a Barokh berserker.
The man rises as a war machine who is intoxicated with the sence of blood,
he feel no pain and is fearless. He bowed as a man, rised as a beast.

The primitive village of a Barokh clan. (notice the chieftans house is on the
highest ground, and often in the center of the village)

Barad-Okh ritual. 2 Men face the respected shaman in the hope of becoming a Barokh Berserker.

hey there! thanks for visiting my sketchbook! man, your anatomy studies are great, especially those knees and hands. l
ove the update you posted on april 14th. they really have a great athmosphere and transport the idea of another world so well. do you think about coloring them?
my absolute favourite is the mining facility, but the primitive village is great, too. it shows that you think about the details, even if you're not drawing them every time.
wish i would've been that good at 14...
