excellent painting on many levels!
to bring this to the next level I think you need to group your values a bit more. we focus on her because she's central and organic, but there's too many areas of contrasting patterns everywhere else. for an experiment, throw a multiply layer on top and start working light, low saturation washes over the background and see if you can create some more drama.

Should have had you do the costumes for Queen Amidala. Would've made those films worth watching.

Gilead - now that's just talking BS.
and James Wolf, nice work. But I rather think she oozes vulnerability. Just check out how the red "curatain" behind her has those metal lances all pointing at her & stuff. And the way her shoulders are tilted backward, she looks like she has been tied up! The semi nakedness adds to the effect.
At the same time, she looks "omnipotent". Powerful.

Nice job so far, but there are some issues that I am seeing..there should be a shadow under her neck, darken the light on her lower leg and the proportions seem off. Should be about 4 heads down to the crouch and she is about 3 and a half...Personally, the background is really distracting, but that might be personal taste. The design is really nice and I think you are close to a very nice, finished peice.

Well, the first thing I noticed was the crouch is too high. Lower that down substantially, and it won't be so distracting. Overall, I like the clothing, and how the elements around her draw your eyes into the center. Good work.

This looks very nice. I like the subtle asymmetry of her facial features.
On a side-note: Why do you people plead warnings about nudity? IMO, there should be warnings about an image having no nudity!

the colour/value of the cloak she is wearing, it doesnt read well against the background which makes the body appear to be infront of the cloak making her look like an over ambitious model (5 inch waist). The background is rather busy with detail as has been, just needs a little loosening so the focus is on the figure.
Other than those nitpicks its a nice work
