"Level Eight, Level Thirty, Level Thirty"
"Level 8, Level 30, Level 30"
Acrylic on Canvas
36? x 48? with 1.5? depth.
The elevator space depicted creates a private/public viewing space. In this painting three individuals define eachothers social status by apartment level. Several indicators are utilized to transform this mental struggle into something visible - the physical arm gestures between the individuals, the height of their legs, the redness of their noses, the size of the ties, positioning of the individuals, and the transparency of the ties into the background.

Hot diggity, this is dope!
I swear, that was the first thing I thought when I saw your pic.
the only thing I think would inhance the pic is if you drew ontop of it with ink.
I'm off to check out your site!
There is nothing wrong with using a photo to help you see things.
No one complains about life drawing,
so take a photo.
its easy, and will improve your piece greatly."
thats some sweet post-rationalisation
awesome art, looks like it would make a killer editorial art piece of some sort..
very very nice image
great feeling and there is a real work behind the idea and the composition
When I was young, I could do all-nighters in my sleep.
I don't know if I'm just tired, but three times I tried reading your description and it all just looked like a pile of words that repelled my eyes. So it's a good thing the painting looks awesome.
