Here are two photoshop paintings of a model, one a 10 minute pose and the other an hour. The landscape, also PS, was a study at the start and carried on to include a wreck...for some random reason I cant remember!

sleep: thanks manJack study was more a failed exercise in proportion and general painting... it was a very tricky thing to paint I soon found out as the desert ground was lighting under his face with a slightly green tinge, the sky was lighting the top with a white grey and the grade made sure there was very little colour range to work with... bloody subtle and somewhat beyond me at this point so I kinda went into copy- the- picture mode. everythings a step though
