I am seeing this allot on the forum, is it intentianal for the picture to be that grainy? i like the picture, the only 2 things that I feel it let it down it the granynuss of the image and the pile of stones or what ever it is, it takes away the focus of the image and makes it look messy, but this is just my opinion, I may be completely wrong in other peoples ideas

On the other hand Sam, I think the grainyness is quite apt for this subject, and that the stones in the foreground make the composition more interesting.

The mood if the pic is amazing, but I think theres no real subject except the ocean, and that makes it less interesting. A silhouette of a person standing there would have made it awesome.

The high contrast grain really makes this photo interesting. I really like this photo, without the little stylistic flip you put on it it wouldn't have been as interesting it is now. It has an almost historical and gothic taste, it's tought to pinpoint, but excellent job none the less

i agree morbid, thanks for the comments everyone. The grain was definately a style choice for me, although I hope it's not too evident!

haha i like it, but samasite, you ARENT wrong! haha, its opinion. i think the rocks are appealing almost because they ARE annoying. like its human intuition to not have them there, or if they are, to have them in the centre so you look straight at them. not having them there adds to it. i like it. and the grainyness to me add that sort of cold, yet warm grunginess of the photo. nice stuff those clouds are really awesome too by the way
