Cow does anyone know about Sequential Art (Master degree)

I just found this new major for my master study, but there are not many sites about this field(maybe just one school..don't know.)
I hope someone can tell me what the difference is between Illustration and Sequential Art. I'm thinking about which departments I should choose and is good for future.
And ..any illustration students can suggest me which school is good and the tuition is also cheap.
The last thing..Should I use more media for my portfolio's art work?(preparing for applying for schools)

Sequential Art focuses on comic and storyboarding art. It is completely different from Illustration in terms of classes. Seqa is not just about art, but also storytelling (both in writing and drawing), cinematography, concept work, technique, styles, etc. You learn to tell stories, which often involves drawing many, many things you haven't before, because plain Illustration allows you to pick and choose your set-up.

Our Illustration major focuses mainly on different techniques and styles, but also includes some business and graphic design.

If you want to pursue Illustration, there are hundreds of schools that offer it, and will probably be cheaper. You can always turn an Illustration degree into a Seqa job, you just wont have the jump on the medium like a Seqa major would.

What media are you planning on putting in the portfolio?
