It's okay, I feel that way about White Ninja too.

EDIT: Not that I've read more than ten or so at the most.

oh, white ninja is excellent. You have to read the strips with a certain...suspension of logic, I reckon. 'Getting' stuff is so old skool

this is not funny. not even in a boring not funny way.
just wierd, for the wierdness of it.
it like someone studied the concept of wierd and made a comic from it. doesnt work like that,
its like not cool crazy. if you know.

It would be funnier if it had the word "buttocks" in it. Everything is funnier with the word "buttocks". Or maybe "guacamole", which is just fun to say.

Please STOP posting unrelated crap. This forum is about (concept)art, and becoming better as an artist. Dicking around in the lounge like this is not helping anyone. I just checked your posts up to date.. i found 2 , yes 2, drawings by your hand. Seriously, stop waisting time chatting about and get drawing. Even better, don't come back untill you have at least 30 pages of sketchbook filled.
I'm sick of people turning this place into a beauty parlor.

This leads me to believe that you have more of a problem with people chatting in the lounge in general. And as a mod, you surely have the power to make a sticky about it as opposed to singling poor little me out for public ridicule.

While I'm sure your intentions are pure, that kind of behavior comes off as bullying, especially when you equate the kind of power and sway that a mod has.

Thanks for doing some research on me though, I actually have an old sketchbook with more pics in it I should probably revive...

Wow, I can't believe how nerdy I am for getting that reference...

these comics weren't funny, sorry- toothpaste for dinner, explodingdog.com, & PBF have a better corner to the crudely drawn, weird & funny online comic market. just my 2 cents

Sorry if you feel singled out and ridiculed in public. Your post here just happened to be the one that triggered me to react.
Of course it's not just this post, or just you. People replying in redundancy (if that's even a word) are even worse imo, so this msg goes to them as well. The sticky you mention is well on its way btw.

I don't have any problem with people "chatting" in the lounge, which is indeed a place for "anything goes" - but that's no excuse to disregard forum policy in general. The "do i have something worthwhile to add?" criterium to post or reply is too often neglected. This makes some parts of CA.org a tedious place. (again, this is not directly to you as a person, but towards everybody guilty of redundant posts)

Thanks for replying in such mature manner btw, you just gained some karma points in my book.

If you're going to post White Ninja, you have to post one of the better ones:

    White Ninja Comics

I always really liked White Ninja comics, especially for the simple art. It's like a little kid drew it, which fits with the childish humor. It feels like I'm five years old when I'm reading these strips, without feeling immature. That's hard to do without resorting to gross fart jokes, so I'm a big fan of cute, stupid sight gags like that.

Lavhoes: That one's a little better. At least it has a point that I can figure out. It's not the art that bugs me, it's the (apparent) storytelling.

While we're on the subject of webcomics/webstrips...what are everyone's favorites? I only have a few and I would definately like to know about more.

userfriendly.org used to be very funny in a very geeky way, unfortunately, it isn't anymore (but if you like binary jokes, you might love the archives)

I also read Penny Arcade and Ctrl Alt Delete.

Have you ppl notice that webcomics rarely have good writing AND good art. Sometimes they have neither, but very few have both (like ctrl alt del) I'd like to do gag strips but I can't write a punch to save my life.

The only comics I keep any tabs on are:

    Saturnalia
    Sinfest
    Faux Pas
    Sexy Losers
    Lunar Boy Land

All have great art and storytelling.
